I was in a deep slumber when I heard some sharp noises. Hindi ko alam kung ano iyon, pero mabilis akong napabangon.

Sure akong ako nalang ang mag-isa sa loob ng bahay na ito! Hindi kaya iyon magnanakaw? Bigla akong kinabahan. Wala pa naman si Daddy! 

Dahan dahan akong tumayo at naghanap ng bagay na pwedeng panlaban. Napansin ko naman iyong baseball bat sa isang tabi.

Nagpasalamat ako bago ibinaba ang tawag. I slowly tip- toed and reached my room's doorknob. The night feels so eerie yet very peaceful. Alas kuwatro pa lang kasi ng madaling araw kaya ganoon nalang kalamig ang paligid.

I can even see the curtains being blown by the wind outside my room's slightly opened window.

Mabilis kong itinaas ang baseball bat sa ere para protektahan ang sarili mula sa mga ito.
