You continued to fall further and further and further into a dark pit. Despite the darkness you felt like for the first time you could truly see...
Slowly you opened your eyes and found yourself in your own body, you held up your own hands to the light watching as your own fingers responded to your own instructions. A relieved smile curled unto your face. It had been hell trapped in another's body just watching as everything fell apart around them.
"So, your highness..." started the Fate of the future "You learned a lot about your past, how do you feel?"
In your mind you hadn't known what to expect, your entire human life you hadn't known who you were and where you came from. It felt like you were constantly disconnected and lonely moving through the universe like someone trudging through a snow storm. Now you knew who you were, who you been but you had wondered what you would become.
You had carried this distinctive heartache for so many many many years. Time passed so quickly in a blink of an eye. You suddenly felt so old. You would always look and appear as a young woman in her early 20s but the wisdom you had collected...even if this was your new life now... Your bones felt so heavy...Even though you had died.
"I feel relieved." You answered at last.
Future finally opened their eyes revealing the same deep red eyes as yours.
"...but, that doesn't explain where Nour is." You finished unsure.
"We can't tell you that either." The present told you, her gold hair danced around them like vines in the wind.
You frowned as you remembered what Nyx had said, the fates had to decide if you were worthy of seeing Nour again. Had they decided that you weren't? Was that their judgment?
"Not at all." Whispered the past, their white form moved towards you cupping your face and placing a kiss on your forehead. The kiss was cold and sobering. "It's because you're the only one who knows where he is, if you look you will find him."
At first, you were annoyed, it all seemed like a massive waste of time, the anger left a bitter taste in your mouth for a second until you realised you may have kept him hidden to preserve him and your heart. If you lost him again you wouldn't be strong enough to continue living. To take back your throne would result in another war you didn't need Nour to be tangled up in your matters again.
But...
You were going to fight this time.
If you fought he would be safe, you would make sure of it. You weren't that goddess anymore, you were stronger now. Much stronger.
Yoongi listened quietly in awe. He had an opportunity to see your past and your story and understood the wound in your heart, he had no idea how truly evil his grandfather had been or the fact that he had been betrothed to you to then betray you...What a cruel turn of events...
If his mind was reeling enough, he stood in front of the ones he was supposed to replace someday. He was in front of the fates. He couldn't explain the feeling but it almost felt like someone has stepped over his grave.
"Yoongi, son of Nyx." The Fate of the future spoke.
Yoongi had been ignored for the better part, but now everyone's attention was on him.
"What a fine boy Nyx gave birth to!" The Fate of the Present almost cooed.
"We are thankful to you for helping to bring our Queen here today." The Fate of Past spoke their voice still a whisper. "And we are thankful to your brothers, Father and Ariadne."
