It had been several days since you had gone on a "date" with Jin. Your migraines were debilitating, there were also far more frequent that would have liked. Not only that, you were getting palpations and your body was running hot and cold. Normally you would have naively chalked everything up to a lack of sleep and tiredness. You knew now, however this was something to do with them.
There seemed to be no cure so when Saturday finally came by, you were relieved. At least you could rest your body for a while as well as trying to understand what was causing all this. Standing aimlessly in your bedroom, tears welled to the surface, the pounding in your head was indescribable, you found your self grinding your teeth and clenching your fists to your side. Black dots appeared in your vision. You had got up to try do something, but you you had forgotten what it was. Inhaling shakily, you felt your legs were giving way so you hubbled back to your bed.
Your body ached, it felt so heavy like you had fallen off a building and woke up the next morning, your mouth was dry. Slowly you closed your eyes, descending into a heavy and feverish sleep..
You felt your feet submerged in a cold pool of water, your back was on the soft grass. The air was crisp, you knew without opening your eyes that it was night. The breeze disturbed the grass around you, the sound resembling the waves of the sea. The sound rose up and settled down.
"You're back."
The voice spoke. Those words felt far more poignant as they should've have felt. You struggled to open your eyes. The stars were scattered on the black canvas watching you silently. Daring you to make the next move. You sat up and found you had been lying next to that woman. Your feet really were submerged in a shallow stream, the cold water sobered you, it helped you think straight.
The woman next you just sat quietly, her feet also dipped in the cool water. She didn't look at you, instead she stared straight ahead to the gardens, where flowers and blooms fought for their one patch of sunlight, but today the sliver light of the moon bathed the petals.
Right in the middle of this all was your Rose. It glimmered more erratically than usual, it wasn't the same steady pulse as before, crackles of lightening danced around it as if warning everyone off.
"You say that as if I don't come here every night."
Your delayed response didn't go unacknowledged, she turned to you with those piercing sea green eyes.
"Yet you don't remember... why don't you?"
As she said that the Rose's ruby light engulfed your vision.
You thought you were dead.
Like fireworks flashes of events popped off in the silence. A war drum, a war, there was only destruction and darkness, there was a throne, a crown, abandoned in the grass, there was inscription you strained to read.
You couldn't quite make it out.
The war.
There was a war somewhere once, once upon a time. The air was metallic and stale with blood, there were bodies and bodies and you and them.
A pair of deep blue eyes.
They were so cruel.
So blood thirsty.
So dangerous.
The temple of Olympus, home to Zeus was cracking, more and more black lines carved their way through the white marble. The crack in the mirror widened once again.
