31. Surgery

"Where is our patient?" Mason shouted as I opened doors for them, and I could hear Ben laughing from the living room

"You must be Ela" James said raising his hand to me what caused me to smile

"And you must be James" I said smiling and shaking his hand

"Ben literally didn't stop talking about you until he left in bed" he said joking that Ben could hear me

"I heard that James" Ben said pointing to James who just laughed

"Hey brother" he said shaking hand with Ben

"how's going mate?" Mason asked

"Having surgery tomorrow, I am okay" he said

"And that's why we need to have a bit of fun this evening" Harvey said

"You should just say let's have fun since it's his last day today" Ben said sarcastically what caused everyone laugh

I decided to leave them alone and have fun, so I went to bedroom checking papers about Reece's injury that I sent myself on my personal e-mail this morning when I got first results that don't say much yet.

"ELA" Ben shouted as I immediately walked out of room and downstairs

"Yes?"

"Alex is about to bring us Oscar, for about an hour she'll here" he said looking at me as boys were turning PlayStation on

"She will just leave him here and see me for a minute you don't have to worry, she's hurrying on some birthday party" he said, and I just nodded and smiled at him

"can't wait to see that little man" I said and smile

"He is almost bigger than you" James said and looked at me

"Hey, don't talk to her like that" Ben said and threw a pillow on James

"I was joking" James groaned

"I got it James, don't worry" I said and smiled at them

"Do you want something to drink since I'm down here?" I asked

"I'm here like at my own house so don't worry about us" James said laughing

"Um...okay" I said "do you want something for eat then?" I asked

"don't worry about us Ela" Ben said and I just sent him death look

Since James said he is here just like at his own house then he knows where what is, and he will bring it to them if they need something, but I am just trying to be decent.

About an hour and half later I was down with boys playing with Oscar.

"NO, GO AWAY, NO JAMES" Harvey shouted angrily as James scored a goal

"Look at that man, not half an hour as he got in here and he already replaced me with Ela" Ben said to the boys and frowned

"Because he knows who is better" Mason said not taking a gaze from TV watching James and Harvey playing

"Thanks mate" Ben mumbled

"you're welcome" Mason said what caused me to laugh

I was sitting on the edge of couch a bit separated from boys as Oscar were already lying on my lap.

NEXT DAY

Ben was already in hospital as he was getting ready for surgery. Not to say I was more and more worried as minutes were passing by, but I tried not seeming worried around Ben. He was alright, not that positive as he was yesterday but he was better than I was.

"you'll be here?" he asked just a second before nurses came in the room

"I'll be here" I said and kissed him before nurses took him to the operating room

Sitting on the chair for not even a few minutes and nervously walking through room waiting for my man to be back from operation for what felt like days not hours. I know we will need to stay here for about an hour so he can get all his sense, but I don't mind, I just want him to be back from that room.

Realising it past almost two hours I got even more worried and nervous but soon enough room's door went open, and nurses drove him back to where he was before surgery.

"He should be awake for about half an hour" nurse said and I nodded

"You have a little bell there so you can just press it when he wakes up" she said pointing to bell that was up Ben's head now

"Thank you" I said, and she walked out of room leaving me with my, still asleep, man

It past 20 minutes and he was already waking up.

"mmm" he groaned slowly opening his eyes trying to sit up

"Hey, wait" I said and smiled taking pillow that was gladly on another chair in the room and I put it behind his head

"ou, what's that?" he groaned at the sound of bell

"bell" I said

"I know, but why did you pressed it?" he asked looking up his head where bell was

"I called doctor" I said and winked at him what caused him to smile "I missed you" I said pinching his cheek

"I was dead for just few hours, nothing terrible" he said trying to hold his smile back, but he couldn't

"You weren't dead" I said laughing and leaning in to kiss him, but doctor chose right moment to came in and Ben just sighed and grab my hand, so he was holding it

"Ben, how are you feeling?" doctor asked

"I'm good" he said

"Nice to hear it, you need to stay here for a little bit longer, so we finish papers and you're ready for home recovery" doctor said smiling

"Okay, thank you" he said

"Are you a girlfriend?" doctor asked me

"Ye-" Ben started but I interrupted him

"No, just a friend" I said pulling my hand from Ben's and fake smiled, in the corner of my eye I could see Ben looking at me confused

"Okay, we will give you a recipe for eventually pills he would need to take, and you will get the compex for knee camps" doctor told me as I just nodded

"Thank you" I said, and he went out

"Just a friend?" Ben asked just a second after doctor left

"Privacy, you remember?" I asked

"it's just a doctor" he said

"And knows who you are and can tell whoever he wants that you were on surgery with girlfriend?" I said asking

"Okay, no fighting" he said

"Are you okay?" I asked few moments later

"Just hurt a bit, don't worry" he said

As I was driving back at Ben's house, he took a picture of himself what caused me to smile, he typed something and the moment he put his phone on his lap my phone vibrated.

"Do you have notifications on for my Instagram?" he asked smiling at me

"maybe" I said and with the corner of my eye I saw him smiling and shaking his head
