73. Family Dinner

FLASHBACK

Yesterday evening we got back to London, happier than ever before, me with engagement ring on my finger and Ben with a knowledge that he is going to be a father.

We decided to call both of our families on dinner tonight and tell them all in one shoot

Going out with Ben's teammates we put on tomorrow's night because of dinner with families tonight.

Just to mention that when Ben called Harvey yesterday evening, he still didn't believe but he was happy for us.

We are still not believing what is happening at the moment and I think I won't get used on this ring on my finger that quickly. It's looks like the most beautiful dream ever.

"What should I dress?" I asked as Ben was sitting on the edge of the bed looking at ultrasound photos, I gave him yesterday when we got home

"Ben" I called him, and he looked at me

"Yeah?"

"What should I dress?" I asked and he struggled

"you're beautiful whatever you dress so it's no matter, you can be in my shirt only, you look the best in it" he said not looking at me but at the photos

"because of me being in your shirt only, you're holding these pictures now" I said, and he just smiled

"Then definitely put my shirt on, only" he said, and I throw first thing that got in my hand on him "What is that for?" he asked

"I don't know" I said smiling as I continued to look through wardrobe trying to find something decent to be wore on the night like this is "you're not of help, Ben" I said as he wrapped his arms around my waist resting his chin on my shoulder

"How long are you pregnant?" he asked

"a month" I said, and he just hummed something, but I didn't understand what

"Would you help me find something to dress? You know our families are going to be here in half an hour" I said, and he shook his head

"don't worry about clothes that much, dress something that you first see" he said and raised hand in front of us pulling out my black overall

"I'll wait you downstairs" he kissed me on the cheek, took ultrasound photos and left bedroom

......

"let's go" Ben said taking my hand as we walked towards doors after we heard bell ringing

"Good evening" Ben smiled at his parents and sister

"Hey Ela" Alex said hugging me, I'm wonder if she knew about Ben's plan about proposing to me

Just a few minutes after Ben's family mine came as well and first few minutes we were sitting in living room having classic talks and then we went to the kitchen.

Nervousness from Ben and me was clear to be felt but no one said anything yet, so after we all finished our meal Ben decided to start the conversation why we are here all together.

Ben coughed to get everyone's attention as he put his hand on my thigh.

"So, Ela and I called you all here because we have some news to share with you all" Ben said and our parents looked at each other as Alex didn't pay much attention because she was talking with Daisy

"Two days ago, when we were in Paris, have happened the best things to us since we are together" Ben said and looked at me taking my left hand and putting it on table

"Two days ago, I asked Ela to marry me" he said "and she said yes" he added and looked at me

Next few moments we were sitting in uncomfortable silence.

"You won't say anything?" Ben asked looking at his dad

I squeezed his hand for support, he hasn't had idea how scared I was to tell them about my pregnancy now.

"If you're both sure that that's what you want then I have nothing to say but that I am happy for both of you" Ben's dad said

"Dad?" I called him quietly

"As Wayne said, if that's what you want then that's it" my dad said, and I exhaled

"Your happiness is only matter" Sally said and my mum agreed

"So, my brother is getting married?" Alex asked smiling "and what's the other thing?" Alex asked

"I'm pregnant" I said, and Daisy was immediately hugging me

When I said that, there were another few moments of uncomfortable silence and this time was me the one who was exploding of worry.

"Can this be better? Ben finally found the right one, he is getting married, and he is going to be a father" Alex said to her parents as he sent her thanking look

"It didn't go well" I said

I was sitting on couch and Ben was lying with his head on my lap as, here and there, he was kissing my belly that is still impossible to be seen.

"it's shock for them, I understand because I've never thought I would find the one, got engaged and become a father after two years of relationship, it's good weird for them too, don't worry please" he said stroking my cheek while he was still laying down

"it's that I came into your life just like from nowhere and this all happened in short period of time, that's why I'm scared" I said

"I promise you everything will be fine, you don't have to worry, just take care of our baby and I will take care of everything else" he said squeezing my hand as I just smiled down at him
