94. Pool Time With Babies

Days were passing by weeks were passing by and our baby girl were growing so fast.

At the moment the most surprising thing was that Grace was sleeping for over 11 hours without waking up once. She was already 8 months old, and it was crazy to watch every little detail of her growing up. She already started pulling herself up. The most used activity of Grace and Ben was playing peek-a-boo and him putting her toys around her room or living room, so she was crawling towards them.

Just like now they were sitting on couch as Ben was handing blanket between them playing peek-a-boo with her as she was laughing causing us both to laugh too. Ben's phone started buzzing but he ignored it but a second later he looked at me.

"Take it" he said and at first, I didn't want to but then I leaned forward and took his phone from coffee table

Never since we met until now, I wasn't touching his phone without his permission, and I will never because everyone so him too has right to keep his phone as a privacy and that is where I don't want to go in.

"it's James" I said seeing his name on the screen

"Pick up" he said as he continued playing with Grace

"hey" I said answering on his call

"Hey Ela, so I guess Ben's home" he said immediately as I smiled looking at Grace and him playing and smiling

"Yeah, he is" I said

"Um...I don't know if he told you, but we had in plan to go on pool today" he said

"Okay" I said not understanding the worry in his voice

"I mean, we thought on all of us going, you, Grace, Kennedy, Leo, him and me" he said as Ben looked confused at me

"He didn't tell me anything" I said

"I see, he forgot, but it's okay" he said as I mimicked pool to Ben, and he just hit his forehead with his hand

"forgot" he mimicked to me

"He is so into playing with Grace today, so he forgot" I said

"it's okay, we can go the other day" James said as Ben showed me to hand him phone

"Ben need you" I said to James and handed phone to Ben as I got on his place beside Grace

"No mate, we can go today, I mean...I have to talk with Ela first...I totally forgot" Ben said looking at me "Okay, talk to you later" Ben said and hung up

"I totally forgot, we talked about it few days ago and I thought I have to talk to you about it, but I don't know how but I forgot" he said

"it's okay Ben" I said

"What time is it?" I asked

"2pm" he said

"We still can go" I said

"You sure?" he asked

"Yeah, why not" I said and smiled at him taking Grace in my hands

"let's go baby girl, we going to pack things for your first pool day, then we will eat and can go meet your godfather James, auntie Kennedy and their baby Leo, you know" I said to Grace walking upstairs with her as Ben stayed down preparing Grace something light for eat before we will leave

"Um, which one baby girl? This light pink or light blue? Hm? Light pink? Yeah? I like this one too" I said putting light pink swimsuit on chair as she was sitting on the floor with toy in her hand

"And bathrobe, rabbit or shark? Rabbit is better animal but in this case baby shark is cuter, would we go for baby shark?" I asked showing her light pink baby shark bathrobe

"Or rabbit?" I asked and showed her light pink rabbit bathrobe "Baby shark? Yeah, baby shark" I said and put rabbit one back in wardrobe

"Okay baby, we have to dress you up" I said and took first shirt and tracksuit that came under my hand, and I dressed Grace up "let's go, daddy is waiting with your food" I said taking Grace in my hands and bag with her things

As I walked downstairs with Grace and entered kitchen, I almost drop my own child. I put Grace in her high feeding chair, and I immediately approached Ben.

"What you did?" I asked worryingly as I took his hand in mine

"I cut myself, don't ask how because I don't know" he said calmly as I took gauze from kitchen island

I cleaned his hand and put a sticking plaster on his cut. He didn't cut himself on the finger but on the inside of hand between thumb and forefinger.

"This is just telling me not to leave you alone in kitchen ever again" I said and looked at him as he just smiled at me

"thanks" he said showing me his hand that I just took care of "And this is the first time that this happened to me so don't hesitate" he said before pecking my lips

I took plate with baby food that Ben made with little accident after it and I sat beside Grace and started giving her her food but, of course, on one hand, it didn't go well because she was constantly smiling not supposed to take a piece of food in her mouth.

"What are you doing?" I asked smiling as I turned around to face Ben who was standing beside me and immediately got serious causing me to roll my eyes

"What would I?" he asked leaning closer to my face

"Okay, I'm going to get ready until you finish eating" he said and smiled at Grace pinching her cheek and kissing it afterwards

Not to mention that Ben with his I'm going to get ready meant get me ready too and when I saw he chose me a swimsuit I thought I will need to get mad because of he chose and knowing him but gladly this time he was too decent.
