26. Injury

Today is group stage match for Champions league and it's a match against Juventus. It was 15 minutes until start of match as boys were getting ready to go on the pitch.

"Good luck guys" I said as they all, who heard me, said thanks

"let's go" Jorginho shouted, and they all walked into tunnel as I directly walked out of tunnel sitting on the bench with other doctors

It was 3:0 for Chelsea as 70th minute was coming. Right when I thought everything will be okay and it will end without any problems, Ben fell on the ground in pain holding his knee. Soon enough doctors were on the pitch and not soon afterwards Ben was limping out of pitch with the help of doctors. My heart broke when I saw him in that position and in pain.

"Can I help him?" I asked and doctors looked at each other, one stayed on the pitch and with one I helped Ben limp to the locker room

"I'll help him" I said to doctor but he just looked at Ben and soon enough doctor left me alone with Ben

"Does it hurt so much" I asked looking at him

"m-hm" he mumbled putting his leg on bench he was sitting on

"It will be okay" I said crouching beside him and holding his hand "you're strong this is nothing for you" I said trying to cheer him up just for a bit

"I don't have a good feeling" he said looking at me sadly

"No, don't say that everything will be okay" I said stroking his cheek

"It won't" he said

"Ben, listen to me" I cupped his face, so he was looking at me, directly in my eyes "It will be okay, I understand that it is your knee and that you feel pain and not me, but I believe everything will be okay, you should think positively, please" I said leaning my forehead onto his as I saw tears forming in his eyes

"don't, please" I said closing my eyes still cupping his face and trying to be strong for him, but I couldn't be seeing him like this

"I love you Ela" he whispered, and I looked at him

"I love you too Ben" I whispered back to him, and he pulled me in for kiss

Match ended 4:0 for Chelsea and with two injuries. Jorginho is not that bad as Ben but we're hoping is nothing too serious with Ben either.

"Come on boy" I said helping him limp to the house "Whatever you need help with call me" I said leaving him in the bathroom to take a shower

Tomorrow we will check both of injuries in details so we will know how serious both of injuries are.

As he was taking shower, I took pillows from guest room and put it on the bed so he can lift his leg up. I sat on the edge of bed thinking about what can happen tomorrow and how serious his injury can be.

"Um, come on" I quickly ran over him helping him to the bed

"I'm not a baby" he said

"You are....my baby" I said finally getting small smile from him

"If you need more pillows just tell me" I said sitting beside him

"What do you want me to bring you for eat, drink?" I asked

"Just ache pills" he said, and I nodded quickly jumping from bed going to kitchen taking ache pills and bottle of water

"here" I said giving it to him

"thanks" he said and lightly smiled at me

"I'm just going to take a quick shower, if you need something yell" I said and quickly kissed him taking my underwear and one of his hoodie and I went to bathroom

This is the quickest shower I have ever took and it's just because I don't want to leave him alone.

"Did you take a pill?" I asked sitting on my knees beside him but that his face was across mine

"yes" he said

"We can go to sleep, or you need something else?" I asked

"I just need you to lay beside me finally" he said

"I'm serious Ben, if you will need something wake me up, okay?" I spoke

"okay" he said but I knew he won't wake me up, he is so stubborn and that he wants to handle this alone

"Seriously Ben" I said lying beside him

"Okay Ela" he said

"Hard for me with you" I said

"Come here" he said pulling me closer to him

"it's your right knee" I said

"I know, you won't hit it, you're too gentle" he said and smiled at me

"Just wake me up if you will need something" I said once again as he closed his eyes

"Goodnight love" he whispered

"goodnight" I whispered kissing him on the cheek

"damn" I heard Ben mumbling and I immediately sat up putting light on

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked

"it's hurting" he said clenching his teeth

"it's okay" I whispered looking at phone what time is it "I'm sorry, but you can't take a pill yet, it past only 4 hours" I said sadly looking at him

"Does it hurt a lot?" I asked

"Mm, I can handle it" he said not too convincing

"I'm sorry babe" I said, hugging him and let's just say I didn't sleep after that

Every few minutes I was looking at phone checking what time is it so he can finally take a pill. He didn't sleep either because it was really hurting him, so we were just lying on the bed talking about some random things trying to get his mind off injury.

"I need to call mum in the morning" he said, and I looked up at him

"She is definitely worrying so much" I said

"I know, I will need to call her after check what will worry her even more" he said

"Everything will be okay" I said stroking his cheek

"I hope it's nothing too serious" he said finally a bit positively
