"Who was the man with you in the restaurant?"
AeRin's jaw clenched and fists tightened. His whole mood was completely off and annoyed by his one question that didn't want to answer neither she has any need to do so. Moreover, why do she has to answer him? Who's he to her? No one. She turned around with cocked eyebrows before her face left a frown. Putting her hands on her waist and the other one on the counter, she looked straight into his brown orbs. No fright, no nervousness was in her eyes. She was bold and confident.
Life in these years has taught her enough of how to stand for herself. Life has taught to not to fear no matter whoever it was since she has started living on her own.
"And who are you to ask me that?" She asked more like spat at him with no fright and no anticipation. One expression could describe her emotions currently is irritation. She was irritated by him. JK let out a scowl before rolling his eyes playfully and looking back at her, he took a breath before letting his words out.
"It's not like that, I was just-"
"Yeah that's why. Who are you to ask me that. Don't even think you can take control over me ever again," she said more like spat again before turning away. But before she could turn, her pulled her back by gripping her forearms in a firm grip. He made her look at himself.
"I'm not trying to take any control, Aerin-ah. I was just asking. Not as an ex though but because we've been known to eachother for years. At least for this reason," he said sighing his lowered. "But why do you care whoever I meet and wherever I go. It's my life and I have no reason to tell you anything," she scoffed Looking away.
JK closed his eyes before scratching his temple firmly with his index finger. He took a sharp breath before looking back at her, "Aerin, I inquired because I do care for you. And about the man you are with in the restaurant, I know him pretty much. And trust me, he isn't right for you. He isn't a good man," JK tried to say but AeRin laughed.
"Oh yes, everyone on this earth is wrong except for you, right? You're the wisest and greatest man here, right?" She said sarcastically before rolling her eyes playfully again. She turned around turning off the stove as the tea was ready. Just when she was pouring the tea into pots, JK pulled her by her elbow again.
"Why do you always get me wrong? For god's sake whatever I said was for your good," he hissed with utter disbelief look plastered on his face. Aerin yanked his hand back freeing her elbow before rubbing it causing him to look down. The emotions in his eyes changed back with guilt and worry as he sighed, "look, I'm sorry--"
"Keep your Sorry to yourself," she spat glarring him with utter rage making him shut his mouth. He sighed before rubbing his forehead.
He messed up again.
"You do this always. You first hurt me and then say sorry. But your Sorry isn't solution for everything you do. You get that? Your sorry can't fix the wounds back those you've given me, You get that?" She spat with a frown as a light sob left her mouth causing JK to alert as soon he heard her. He quickly held her elbow examining it. The emotions in his eye converted to care and curiosity as he glanced at her for a time before looking back.
"What are you doing-- AHH!"
Aerin gasped at the change as within a swift motion, he grabbed her by her waist before helping her sit on the kitchen's counter. She looked at him in utter dismay. Holding her wrist in a gentle manner he blowed the air over her elbow. A scowl plastered on Aerin's face thinking why he is being so nice to her all of sudden. "I'm sorry and...... I mean it,"
He whispered, his eyes holding a strange kind of glossiness that Aerin had witnessed after a long time. The first time she witnessed something similar to it was when she had to shoot him. A lump made its way in her throat as the old painful memories crossed through her mind sending the strange wave of emotions to her. She looked down not ready to meet his orbs.
