Aerin's sleep broke as let out a heavy breath. Her eyes blinked several times to adjust to the bright sun light that was coming from the window. Her face was pale and her hands and feet seems to be numb. She felt so weak as if she was watching a nightmare all this time. A slight wince comes out of her mouth as she tried to move her fingers. They moved successfully after a few attempts but that's when she noticed that there were IVs attached to her hands. The faint sound of tick of the clock could be heard in the sheer ominous silence in the room.
She started to look around to observe her surrounding and that's when she got to know that she was in a ward, lying down on a hospital's bed. Even her clothes were changed into a patient's gown. She pulled her head back on the pillow exhaling her breathe as a slow drop of tear rolled down on the side of her eyes. She closed her eyes but it only result in bringing back all those hurtful memories back to her.
Her breaths almost pacified and the panick started to rose in her. Her palms clamped and her forehead was sweating even though the atmosphere of the room was pretty chill. She tried to let out some words out but her mouth felt dried. Her throat felt clogged and she was unable to speak. The panick started to increase as she felt numb. Her legs started to Shiver as she decided to get up.
She tried to move herself to other side and trying to stand up but her posture was soon got imbalanced causing her to fall back and that's when she felt two arms tightly wrapped around herself. She looked up only to gasp at the sight.
It was him.
"Hey, Relax. Don't panick." He whispered to her ear as she felt his hand moving up and down on her back in a very soothing Manner.
"I'm here. Don't worry. We're all here with you. Please lie down back and take rest," he said as decided to help her lie down back on the bed. Aerin slowly found herself going calm and relaxed under him and his soothing as she followed what he said.
Aerin relaxes as she lets out a heavy breath before closing her eyes for sometime. After she felt she was calmed down, she opens them back only to find him still holding onto her staying by her side.
She looked at him and he smiled warmly.
"How are the kids?" She managed to ask from her dried mouth as her voice comes out to be hoarsed because of the latest sleep she had. He smiled profoundly before holding her hand and said, "They are fine, safe and healthy, playing at home. YoonMi and EunHo are taking good care of them. Jisang is with them too," he said in a soothing tone.
