75 Word Short Story/ TBR Pile
Books litter their bed, stacks of them piled nearby. All of them titles on the infamous to-read pile, adding up over the years. Just thinking about it makes their head hurt with guilt.
They look to the nearest stack; sitting on top is The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. They'd been meaning to read that since high school, seven years ago.
They exhale, reaching for the first book: no time like the present.
