Plastic dinosaurs
Stare out at wandering patrons through painted eyes
Mechanic movements of the tail
Maybe the claws
And a swing of the head
The animatronic beasts stand behind fences
Poised on fake grass and leaves
Kids point and cheer
Parents laugh and snicker
A voice that is not of the beasts
One created from speakers and other equipment
Makes a screech from the dinos
The kids cheer some more
The parents laugh again
And the plastic dinosaur withers
As their cries for help are ignored
