Backstage
To an acrobat show
Much too fancy for the hicktown of prince george
The music rings of elegance
Muffled slightly by the brick walls of refuge
Applause wafts in
Cheers and hoots
And a person has to wonder
How drunk the hicks are
To appreciate the beauty and wonder
Of flips and tricks and whimsical storytelling
That they would even applaud at all
