This case was the most scary case so far – probably because it was the first ever case Lullaby Taylor would be on, with Mystery Incorporated.
She'd noticed the gang in school, but always thought she wasn't smart enough to be with them. She had classes with all of them: science with Fred Jones, writing and research with Daphne Blake, history with Velma Dinkley, and art class with Shaggy Rogers. She'd even met Scooby Doo a few times before, as well, when he barged into the school and attacked Shaggy in art.
That was until Shaggy took a liking to her over the summer. They both were at the library – Lullaby was researching for a play she was writing. And Shaggy was told to pick up a few research books for Velma and Fred. They both happened to reach for the same book, and from then, Shaggy invited Lullaby to be a part of Mystery Inc..
Lullaby knew what they needed to do to capture Captain Cutler's ghost, here in the old marina full of other supposed ghost ships: he would appear at the top of the ramp; Daphne and Velma would lather up the ramp with slippery soapy water, and the phantom would slip into a net that Fred would tighten to trap the ghost.
Shaggy had to turn on the water, and Scooby Doo and Lullaby had to hold the back end of the hose still for Velma and Daphne.
Fred suddenly leaned down to where he hid, near the net. "Get ready gang; here comes Captain Cutler's Ghost!"
Lullaby exhaled shakily; now was her chance to prove herself.
