I just realized, I've been eating the same thing for breakfast for the past week.
First, two pieces of bread are toasted – the bread variety changes, depending on whatever is available. Today, though, it was a multi grain loaf called oats and honey.
Then, once the toast is ready, on the toast goes a nice spread of mayonnaise, followed closely with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. I buy the Kraft stuff of sprinke cheese, because it's easier and a little cheaper than shredding a wedge of actual Parmesan – I remember when we were kids, we would call it "stinky cheese."
Next, some of Mom's homemade pickled snap peas OR dilly beans – I started out using the peas, but soon ran out, and the pickled green beans were the next best thing.
After that, two overeasy fried eggs – it's important that the yolk be a little bit runny. It adds flavor and elegance.
And to finish, another gentle sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
That's it. That's been breakfast for over a week. What does that say about my character?
