We had a combined celebration a day after our graduation, and a day after that we asked our parents about our trip to Cebu.

"We'll bring Kuya Lando..." I started. "And, Kuya Jared, we'll behave, I promise, mommy."

My mom looked at Justin's mom. "We trust you, no need to worry, baby."

"So, we can go?"

Tita smiled at me. "Of course, anak. You can enjoy before your college life finally starts."

"About your condo," mom started. "Your Tita and I already bought you one."

Justine held my hand and glanced at me. "About that, Tita. Can we separate, like... we'll have our own?"

My mom frowned. "Are you guys okay?"

"We are, mom," I answered. "We just want to have a private space for each other, I mean maghapon na kaming magkasama sa school, pati ba naman sa condo, baka magkasawaan kami."

"That's your reason?" mom creased her forehead. Justine even looked at me like he was shocked, too.

"I want also to learn how to live independently, I mean, before we wed po, no driver or yaya," I explained. "Baka po wala akong alam kapag kinasal na kami."

Tita nodded. "Okay, we'll buy the unit next to the one we bought."

Matapos naming magpaalam ay umakyat kami sa kwarto ko, he sat on my couch silently, like he was thinking deeply, and that he's scared to ask me. Pumasok muna ako sa bathroom ko at naligo, pagbalik ko ay nakaligo na rin siya.

"You're not going home?" I asked, then brushed my hair. "Bakit naligo ka?"

"Wanna talk about your other reason?" he patted the empty space beside him.

"What other reason?"

"The one you said that we'll get bored with each other," he uttered lowly. "I know I won't get bored of you, I have been with you for the last sixteen years of my life. But, you.."

"I don't mean any bad by that," I hugged him sideways. "I just think you also need to have your own space, malay mo one day may misunderstanding tayo, a space can help us think and cool-off."

"I will always understand you," he kissed my temple. "And make you win. And, I don't need a space to think of any, kahit galit ako, gusto ko nasa tabi kita."

"But, I don't want you around when I'm mad," I admitted. "You know I say bad words, curse words even, when I'm mad. And, I don't want you to hear that."

"Okay," he agreed. "But, just for your info, I knew you all my life, I know all your flaws, weaknesses and your craziness, but, I'm all in. But.. if you really need that, okay, we'll have our own unit."

"I memorized you already, no need to conceal any," he kissed my temple again. "I loved and love all versions of you."

After a week, we went to Cebu with Kuya Lando and Kuya Jared, it was the happiest vacation I went to. The trip was so spontaneous.

"You're wearing a bikini?" he was astounded. "That's too...tiny."

I turned around, looking myself through the mirror, and partly teasing him.

I raised a brow. "What? Am I not good with these?" I pointed my black bikini.

"You look good," he sighed. "So fucking good, baby. It's just that, I don't want guys fantasizing things about you."
