The next day, I woke up without him beside me, pagtingin ko sa side table clock ko, ala una na pala ng hapon. I stretched a bit, then rewarded my self with a nice and warm shower.

"Ready to have your first meal today, baby?" he teased me, then gave me a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

I sipped without tearing our eye contact. "Have you cooked? I'm famished."

"Just finished," he wrinkled his nose. "Want me blow-dry your hair, baby?"

I nodded, umupo ako sa harap ng vanity mirror ko, sa likod ko naman siya pumosisyon. Inabot ko sa kanya yung blower matapos kong mai-saksak.

"I love the ring," I raised my left hand and positioned it beside my face. We both smiled, I watched him intently through the mirror.

"Really? Even if that's not a ten-carat?"

"Tss, why would I need a ring that will cost you eight to ten millions? I can't even wear that without worrying of losing it?"I arched my brow.

"Ilang carat ba 'to?" tanong ko noong patapos na siya.

"Just two," mumbled.

"Tss, you're crazy," I smiled. "That's roughly more than a hundred thousand, plus the band is gold plated. "

"Relax," he laughed. "It didn't put a hole in my pocket. The money we got through sponsors are pretty decent, tss, kung sana hindi nadelay yung bayad sana mas maganda yung nabigay ko sa iyo."

"Prettier doesn't mean it will cost you more," I reasoned. "This is enough. Plus, instead of spoiling me, save up."

"I can save up while spoiling you," he argued. "Just let me, it has been a dream on mine to do this."

"Tss, whatever," I regretted blushing because he teased me more.

"I missed breakfast without worrying about being late," I watched him put food on my plate.

"Ang late mong gumising eh," sabi niya. Agad kong sinipa yung upuan niya.

"What? Totoo naman," natatawang sabi niya. "You love sleeping."

"You know you still have time to back down," I eyed him angrily. "Before marriage."

"No, I'll marry you," he pulled my chair closer to his. "In a heartbeat, I'll marry you."

"I have a question."

"What is it?"

"Will there any change after you know... after our wedding?" I questioned without showing him my doubts. Hindi ko alam bakit paulit-ulit ko siyang tinatanong.

"Wala naman," sagot niya sabay lagay ulit ng ulam sa plato ko. "Wala akong babaguhin sa iyo. You can still do whatever you like, and I won't force you to a decision that you'll regret.

"Promise?"

He nodded. "I promise," he looked at me genuinely. "Kain na. Date muna tayo bago ka agawin nila Chloe sa akin."

I chuckled. "Bukas pa naman tayo aalis eh."

"May hangover ka?"

I shook my head for an answer. "But, can we just stay in?"

"Okay," he sounded sad.

The whole afternoon we just watched Grey's Anatomy, hindi ko nga alam kung minsan napipilitan lang siyang samahan akong manuod o talagang gusto niya manuod.
