MABUTI nalang at sinabihan niya si Anton nung nasa venue palang siya. Ayos lang naman sa kaibigan na maghintay ito sa bar kung saan idaraos ang alumni party nila. Isasama niya rin kasi si Poseidon na ngayo'y nagdridrive na papunta sa kanilang pupuntahan matapos nilang kumain kanina. Ito ang nag-prisinta na samahan siya hanggang sa alumni party dahil nababahala itong lalapitan nanaman siya ni Bradley.

Aside from protecting her, she knows that Poseidon gets jealous and furious upon knowing that Bradley is just near her.

"Let me know if that douchebag do something to you. Okay?" Paunang sabi nito nang makababa sila sa kotse.

"You don't have to worry about anything, Sei. I can handle him." She assured him.

"I know. But I don't trust that dipshit when it comes to you." Lumamlam ang mga mata nitong nakatingin sa kaniya. "Ream, even if you lie to yourself, you know that I can feel it. Right?"

"What do you mean?" Maang-maangan niyang tanong. Gusto niyang iwasan ang mga tanong nito. Hindi niya pa kayang aminin sa sarili.

"I'm not in the place of confronting you so I'll let you be. But always remember that I am here. As a friend and a lover. You'll be the one to choose which role you prefer." Nginitian siya nito na para bang naiintindihan ang bawat pintig ng puso at totoong bulong ng damdamin niya. "Even if you feel like that. I respect it. And I'll stay."

"Thank you, Poseidon. Really." Marahan niyang pinisal ang mga kamay nito.

"Don't hurt yourself more. Okay? You've been through so much because of him." Isang malungkot na ngiti ang ipinakita nito. "But I understand if you'll give him a chance. I know that deep in your heart, you want to forgive him. But not his family."

"Sorry, Sei. For being like this. I'm a rational-thinker. I don't get swayed with emotions." She sighed because that is the truth. But Bradley. He's something. He's someone special.

"Yes, you do not get swayed by your emotions but what happened with you and him. That was something. That saved you. So I can't argue about that." Iniayos nito ang hibla ng mga buhok na tumatakip sa kaniyang mga mata. "I always tell you that no matter the cause, I will be by your side. You can shatter the chains that restrains you, Ream."

Alam niya na kahit ganito ang sinasabi nito sa kaniya ay kabaligtaran noon ang gusto nitong mangyari. Hindi siya bulag. Hindi siya bingi. At mas lalong hindi siya manhid para hindi maramdaman ang pagmamahal nito sa kaniya. Sa ngayon, hindi niya pa alam kung paano ito masusuklian dahil may ibang laman ang puso niya.

Marahil niloko. Ginago. Iniwan. Pero kahit baliktarin man niya ang mundo, alam niya ang isinisigaw nito. Hindi naman sigurong masamang magpatawad? Hindi naman niya kaagad ito pagbibigyan.

Bradley must show her how sorry he is. He must own his actions. And she must stop herself from softening her heart.

"He must work hard to redeem your trust. I'm here. Use me all you want. Show him what he must do to get you. I don't mind." Hindi na niya napigilan ang sarili na yakapin sa gitna ng parking lot si Poseidon na ngayo'y hinahaplos ang kaniyang buhok. Unti-unti siyang humagulgol dahil hindi na niya alam kung saan ilalagay ang pakiramdam na iyon. "Ream, don't cry. You have nothing to cry on."

"Why are you like this, Sei? Why?" Mahina niyang sinuntok ang dibdib nito.

"I'm your ally. Your buddy, love." Marahan nitong hinimas ang likuran niya. "You're afraid that everyone around you will tell you to not come back to him because he cheated, right? Well, I'm one of those people." He chuckled and let her break down in his arms. "But I don't want you to live like that, Ream. If you want to be with him, then let yourself be. You'll realize it afterwards. Face the consequences if you have to. So please, stop hurting yourself more."
