Amanda had called me, wanting to know where the spare key was so she could change our bed sheets where Sarahs water broke, wanting everything to be easy and perfect for when we got home.
"the car seats are ready", I kissed Sarahs cheek, once entering the room again
"I'm going to put them in their little outfits, I need to get changed.. and then I think we're ready", Sarah wrapped her arms around her neck
"I can change them while you get dress", I secured my hands on her waist
"thank you", she nodded before kissing me deeply

"okay, I'll go get them", I giggled at them fussing, reluctantly pulling away from her lips "oh yes, I know.. I know!", I picked them both up placing them on the bed changing Alice into a white onesie and Lorelei in a pink one, wrapping them both in blankets
"is it cold outside?", Sarah looked to me pulling her shirt over her head
"yeah, here", I passed her, her jumper
"okay.. are we ready?"
"I thinks so"
"this is so weird. I mean I can't believe we're going home.. with two babies.. that is just crazy hey! yes it is!", Sarah babbled taking Alice
"are you two ready to go home?", I followed behind Sarah with Lorelei
"I am going to miss these two", Anna walked over to us. Anna was the nurse who had been helping us for the past couple days

"anything for these two.. god they are fucking cute"

"darling they're strapped in I promise", I reassured a panicked Sarah
"what if they fall out?"
"they won't fall out angel, they're okay, I promise, it's only a twenty minute drive", I opened the door, ushering her to sit down
the entire drive home, Sarah was leant back watching over them.
"oh god they're beautiful!", Jimmy the doorman rushed up to us "what are their names?"
"this is Lorelei, and Alice", Sarah introduced them, holding them both in her arms, while I took her bags
"they're just beautiful, did everything go okay?"
"perfectly", I nodded

"welcome home my little angels", Sarah sung, stepping through the door "look that's the city, those are buildings, hey? do you want to see your room? yes you do, come on!"
"darling stay right there", I ran into our bedroom, grabbing the camera "okay look at me"
Sarah stood in the middle of the nursery, holding our little girls in her arms
"god that is just divine", I placed the camera down, taking Alice out of her hands
"this all just doesn't seem real", Sarah breathed though she was smiling widely
"do you know how proud of you I am? Hmm?", I used my free hand to cup her cheek
