"okay my little sunshines are you two going to be good for grandma?", I kissed their little cheeks
"Lorelei had a fever yesterday so, if it comes back just put a cold cloth on her head and then there's medicine for her in the bathroom, she might need a cold bath, but she's still not too good in the water-", holland explained
"She'll be fine, they'll both be fine, I've got everything under control", Mom assured us
"but you won't hesitate to call will you?", I spoke while in a tight hug
"try to have some fun sweetheart", Mom chuckled moving to embrace holland
"bye my little ones", holland hugged them close

I had finished filming last week after four long months and holland and I had decided to have just a couple of days to ourselves, but because we still wanted to be close incase anything went wrong with the girls we agreed on staying in New York, while the girls are in Philadelphia with mom.
"hi", I smiled
"hi princess", holland kissed my forehead after waking me up when we arrived "we're here"
"okay", I nodded, taking her hand as we made our way to the apartment
"I missed this place", holland flopped on the bed
"me too", I crawled over snuggling into her arms
"don't fall asleep darling, we have a dinner reservation"
"our place?"
"always", holland kissed me gently
whenever it was a special occasion we always went to the same place- the first restaurant we ever went to the first time we came to New York, when I was still her student
"thank you", I sat down as holland pulled out the chair for me
"have I told you how beautiful you look?"
"yes, at the house, in the elevator, in the cab, while crossing the road, on the stairs and again now", I giggled reaching across to take her hand "but I do appreciate it"
"I can't help it, you look gorgeous sweetheart"
"you look beautiful holland"
"I love you sweetheart"
"I love you", I squeezed her hand tighter

"no I tell you, Alice is going to start walking soon, and Lorelei stood up for nearly a whole minute the other day"
"they're growing up way too fast, and god they're gorgeous. I think we have some heartbreakers on our hands"
"they must take after you", I smirked

"holland, you were a heartbreaker back in the day"
"well I don't mind, it will give the girls confidence and self assurance"
"self assurance?"
"I want them to grow up knowing that no one can mess with them, and if they do.. well that's what the heartbreaking is for", holland winked
"I'm starting to think that you may be a bad influence", I chuckled
"maybe.. but I love them nonetheless"
"I have no doubt in my that you do"
"I'm in love with their mother as well"
