"Hey, I brought you lunch." Nakangiting bungad niya ng makapasok siya sa opisina nito.
Hinx looked at her for a second before dropping his eyes to his laptop again.
"What are you doing here?" Malamig na tanong nito habang busy pa rin sa pagtipa sa laptop nito.
"Uhm, I cook lunch for you.." She said and showed him what she was holding.
"That could do for now but I don't want you to cook for me again."
She forced a smile and went to the pantry to serve it. She cooked his favorite dish, sweet and sour chicken and also the adobong baboy, that's their favorite dish. Up until now, she won't forget the day when Hinx cooked adobong baboy for her.
Narinig niya ang papalapit na yabag ng binata na sumunod sa kanya. Agad siyang lumingon dito at ngumiti.
"Let's eat?" Nakangiting yaya niya.
Hinx brows furrowed upon seeing the food on the table.
"I don't eat that kind of dishes anymore." There's a hint of disgust on his cold eyes.
"H-ha? Paborito mo 'to, 'di ba? Pero papalitan ko na lang." She smiled and was about to touch the plate when he stop her hand.
"Nevermind. Just don't cook for me ever again." Sabi nito at umupo na.
She smiled, trying to be optimistic.
"Come on, Hinx. I can't do that, I wanna serve you."
"You're not my servant." Malamig na saad nito.
"I'm not but I love doing this. Please?"
Hinx sighed and started eating. She smile in satisfaction.
Umupo na rin siya at nagsimulang kumain. She wanna talk about something or tell him what she has been in London but it seems like Hinx was not in the mood to listen so she remained quiet.
After years, she found herself smiling while she eat. Finally, nakasabay na rin niya ito.
"Why are you smiling?" Kunot-noong sita nito sa kanya.
Ngumiti siya at umiling.
"I'm just happy because we're eating together."
Mas lalo lang kumunot ang noo nito at umiling.
"How long are you gonna stay here?" Biglang tanong nito.
Natigilan siya sa tanong ng binata. Is he pertaining that she'll left the Philippines again?
Tumikhim muna siya bago sumagot.
"I-I'm staying here for good." Sagot niya.
"Why?" Kunot-noong tanong nito.
He probably saw the news that the biggest science laboratory offered her a job.
"Because you're here. As I've said last night, I want you back." Diretsang sagot niya.
Hinx stared at her for a quite awhile before shaking his head.
"You're losing that big opportunity for nothing, Claudia." Malamig na sabi ng binata.
"You're not nothing, Hinx. You're greater from the opportunity they offered me." She said softly.
Natawa ng mapakla ang binata. Nawalan ng buhay ang mga mata nito.
"Words...you're full of words, Fortessa."
Wala ng nagtangkang magsalita pa pagkatapos, siya na rin ang lumigpit ng pinagkainan nila.
