"What's this?"
"Kwek-kwek." Anito sabay tusok sa maliit na orange na bilog na nakapalibot doon at sinubo sa kanya.
Ninguya niya iyon at napakunot ang noo habang iniisip ang lasa.
"It taste like egg." Aniya.
"Yes, because it's made up of egg. Itong orange naman, harina 'yan." Sabi ng binata at sinubuan siya ulit.
"Should I eat this fast?" Tanong niya.
"Ha? Bakit naman?" Nagtatakang tanong pabalik sa kanya ng binata.
"So that its name makes sense? It's called quick-quick so we'll eat it quickly." Hindi siya sigurado sa sarili kung patanong o pahayag ang huling sinabi.
Napatigil si Hinx saka ito humagalpak ng tawa. Her cheeks burned as she realized what she said was wrong because of his laughter.
Maluha-luhang pinunasan ni Hinx ang mata. Napanguso siya, lalo na nung puningot nito ang pisngi niya.
"Hay, ang cute-cute ng girlfriend ko."
Mas lalo lang siyang namula.
They stroll on the side walk holding hands while they're sharing conversation. She was actually so happy because she never saw Hinx got bored when she's the one talking. He seems very much interested and attentive to her.
Just like now, she's talking about how she wanted to accomplished that antidote but it seems so impossible. Hinx was just staring at her talking.
Namula siya, she felt conscious on his stares.
"H-huwag mo nga akong titigan ng ganyan, nakakalimutan ko ang sinabi ko, eh." Nahihiyang reklamo niya.
Hinx lightly chuckled.
Tumigil sila sa paglalakad. Napatingala siya sa binata. She's tall but he's taller. Hanggang baba lang siya nito.
"Bakit? Paano ba kita titigan?" He asked.
Her lips slightly pouted.
"Like I'm the most treasured diamond in the whole world."
He chuckled again. He cupped her face and stare at her intently.
"You are. There's no doubt in that, love."
Hinx...
He never fail to make her fall in love over and over again. When she's with him, her hypothalamus produces dopamine and oxytocin. Everything is new to her, she's still discovering and exploring new emotions but there's a things she's sure of. And that is,
"I worship the rain that waters the grass that grows on the ground you walk on." She muttered while looking at him straight in the eye.
"H-huh?"
Ngumiti siya at ginanap ang pisngi nito.
"I love you, Hinx Elliot Benjamin."
She was confident that Himx gonna say his I love you back but what stuns her is he grabbed her arm and walk briskly towards his car meters away from them.
He uttered no word as he open the door for her. Naguguluhang pumasok siya sa sasakyan. Nang makapasok na si Hinx ay pinasibad nito paalis ang kotse. Wala itong sinabi na siyang nagpakaba sa kanya.
She knows that Hinx love her, too! But why is he silent? Nagkamali ba siya ng akala? Tapos umuwi pa sila.
She was silent on the ride, she didn't bother asking because she's on the verge of crying. Nilaro na lang niya ang daliri niya hanggang sa tinigil ng binata ang kotse.
