"You know, if you're going to break into a car you should at least pretend to be discreet," Cecilia smirked as she jumped down to the two men in the alley who stood staring at her with wide eyes.
"You really are just a little girl huh-" Before the man could even finish his sentence the brunette had punched him in the throat before slamming his head into the roof of the car, his body slumping to the ground. The other one threw a punch out and landed it onto her jaw as she kicked the car door in on the man before opening it and repeating the action on his head making him also fall unconscious.
Thankfully for her, they were stupid and made it easy. It was nearly 2 in the morning and she knew she would regret it if she stayed out any longer so Cecilia carried her tired suit-clad body home thankful that Kate had left the window open for her.
"Thank god you're home, I'm bored." Kate's voice made the younger girl jump and stare at her friend who was lounging on the couch the tv playing in front of her. Cecilia held her hand to her heart and used the other one to pull the mask down her face before collapsing next to her and taking a piece of popcorn from the bowl.
"You scared the shit outta me." Kate simply shrugged and turned the tv down.
"So, did you do anything crazy tonight?" Ever since Kate had found out about her best friend's late-night activities she had been eager to help and learn more. Which was the main reason Cecilia didn't want her to know in the first place. Sure Kate could handle herself but that didn't stop her friend from worrying about her, even if she was three years younger.
"Attempted grand theft auto." She responded as she pushed herself off the couch and headed to change into her pajamas. "Why are you still up?" She called out from upstairs but her friend still heard.
"I had a bunch of homework to do so I chugged a RedBull but it turns out it didn't take me as long as I thought it would to finish but now I'm wired." Kate responded listening to her friend laugh at her misfortune as she bounded back down the stairs and sat next to her once again.
"Well, I'm exhausted. What are we watching?" Cecilia asked curling up under the blanket with her friend and stealing more popcorn. Kate sighed and looked over at the girl, the bags under her eye were very visible, even if they were only being illuminated by the light of the television. "You don't have to stay up with me you know?"
"Oh, I know. But you shouldn't have to be alone either, so press play." Kate sighed but agreed and continued to the Halloween movie that was paused. That was something Kate adored about Cecilia, despite her own feelings and needs she'd always tough it out to help a friend. Even if she did end up passing out halfway through despite all the blood and screaming that was occurring on screen.
