"Oh, that's fucking depressing."

December 2024

Clint Barton couldn't help the sigh that left his lips when Kate pushed the door of her apartment open and he saw SheDevil passed out on the couch with a golden retriever, the dog letting out a whine at the sight of them.

Cecilia's eyes snapped open when the door slammed closed her body lifting from the couch in an instant ready to fight, but when her eyes landed on Kate in a black suit she furrowed her eyebrows but remained silent. Until they landed on Clint Barton of course, the man looking her up and down like she was going to attack at any second.

"What kind of night did you have when I left? I see we got a dog and are apparently inviting Avengers over for tea!" Cecilia exclaimed in a shocked tone, the only reason she knew who the man was was because of Kate, she had idolized him since he saved her in the battle of New York.

"You must be the Vigilante roommate," Clint said motioning to her suit that she had just realized she was still wearing.

"You told him!" Cecilia yelled looking over at Kate in shock.

"He's an Avenger, besides you're the one who fell asleep in the suit," Kate protested making her friend roll her eyes slightly.

Clint Cleared his throat before motioning towards the suit Kate was wearing. "Look, I don't care. Wanna get that vest off, so I can get going?" He asked with a soft sigh.

Cecilia watched as Kate agreed and headed up the stairs mumbling to herself about keeping it cool, meanwhile, Cecilia felt the furthest thing from cool. There was an Avenger in her apartment and she had no idea why.

"So uh, what did she tell you about me?" Cecilia wondered after a beat of awkward silence, Clint's eyes drifting around the apartment in interest, especially all of Kate's trophies and Cecilia's weapons.

"Nothing I didn't already know..." Clint paused making Cecilia want to question him further about what he meant but he tilted his head upwards and yelled to Kate.

"Where'd you get the suit?"

"Black market auction!" Cecilia's eyes widened in shock as she put her hands on her hips, what the hell was Kate doing at a black-market auction.

"I am never leaving you alone again," Cecilia sighed even though her words fell on deaf ears as Clint continued to ask questions.

"So, what all did you do in the suit?"

"I beat some guys up. Saved the dog. Some light B and E."
