"Should we take shots for each grand we're worth?"

Valentine's Day 2025

"Another round please," Yelena requested with a hiccup as she lifted her hand to gain Josie's attention. The older woman looked at the three young women who were slumped in front of a computer screen. Their eyes were heavy with stress and worry, it pained her to see Cecilia without a smile on her face so she complied despite how many they had already.

"This is bad, like really bad," Kate stated as she scrolled through the freshly decoded list on their computer. Her bloodshot eyes focused and unfocused on the screen as if she was waiting for something to change, but they knew it wouldn't.

"Shit, I don't know, I'd kill me too if I knew I was worth that much," Cecilia commented as she pointed to the numerical value next to her name before she downed the shot that Yelena had handed her. The three of them shared a look before they glanced down at the screen once again.

cecilia 'shedevil' murdock [150,500]

matthew 'daredevil' murdock [300,000]

jessica jones [75,000]

frank 'the punisher' castle [150,000]

luke cage [50,000]

danny rand [50,000]

oliver 'arsenal' daniels [70,000]

kate 'hawkeye' bishop [50,000]

squirrel girl [20,000]

yelena 'white widow' belova [50,000]

marc 'moon knight' spector [75,000]

layla 'scarlet scarab' el-faouly [70,000]

america chavez
[45,000]

The list was lengthy and exposed a lot of people's secret identities, it was also clear that whoever it was must have felt personally wronged by the Murdocks because their name was the highest price.

There were only a few names on that list that the group didn't recognize, they were shocked at the number of heroes running around the city at night. Although it made sense as there was a lot of crime and a lot of areas to cover.

It terrified Cecilia that there was a bounty of 300,000 dollars on her father's head, he wasn't Daredevil anymore. And he hadn't been for a long time, so whoever it was was from his past. If Cecilia hadn't been on her third shot she might have made the connection but she was blinded by fear and vodka.

"Should we take shots for each grand we're worth?" Yelena suggested as she pinched the bridge of her nose and lifted her hand to order more drinks. It seemed a unanimous decision for the three of them to make their way to Josie's where they would drown their concerns and fears in alcohol. They had managed to get through the day but as they all arrived home after school and work they were seated on barstools an hour later.
