"No fucking shit!"

May 2025

Cecilia got the call shortly after they left Oscorp, Jessica's irritated voice echoing through the phone causing Peter to furrow his eyebrows.

Cecilia brought him to Alias Investigations, a place he never thought he'd be. Yet here he was watching the brunette in red push the woman's door open, her eyes narrowing on the splintered glass window.

"Jess!" She called out pulling down her mask and searching for the raven haired woman. The worry was evident in her tone as she rushed into the apartment where she heard a man's rambling before there was the sound of skin on skin contact.

"In here!" The PI called back making Cecilia grab Peter's gloved hand and pull him towards the back room. Peter eyed the debris and broken glass that littered the floor and crunched under their feet.

Cecilia stopped in the doorway, her hand gripping Peter's tightly, he wasn't sure if it was to keep him there or to help ease her anxiety, but either way he'd let her do whatever she needed.

"Are you okay?" Cecilia asked once her eyes landed on Jessica, the woman didn't seem to be injured, but she certainly was pissed.

"I'm fine, contemplating murder, but fine," She responded before gesturing towards the blonde man she had tied to one of her kitchen chairs.

Peter stared from Jessica over to the man who was gagged and tied, he was glaring at the three, and he was bleeding from a clearly broke nose.

"He tried—he tried to kill you?" Peter asked pointing from the man over towards the woman who could leap buildings and punch a hole in solid concrete.

Jessica's eyes narrowed on the hero and for a moment he wondered if she knew it was him under the mask, but then she turned to Cecilia with raised eyebrows and a curled lip.

"The fuck you doing working with him?" She scoffed slightly, Peter couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed even if that was just Jessica's personality.

"It's a long story," The Murdock girl muttered quietly not bothering to lift her eyes from the man in the chair, it seemed they were having a staring contest, but in reality she was assessing him.

He had a large build but he was shorter than Jessica, his hair was receding and he reeked of cigarette smoke and cheap bourbon. She could tell that there was steroids flowing through his body by the way it pumped around his blood. Yet none of that helped him as he still ended up in the chair.

Jessica stepped forward and ripped the gag from the man's mouth causing him to glare at her but the woman simply rolled her eyes.

"You're all fucked!" The man exclaimed causing Cecilia and Jessica to share an irritated look while Peter shifted nervously. This wasn't something he had been a part of before, and he wasn't sure what to do.

"Shut up and tell her what you told me," Jessica snapped out causing Cecilia to look to the man expectantly, Jessica hadn't mentioned this over the phone.

The man paused for a moment, his expression falling into a small smirk as if he were reminiscing about past glory.

"I killed Oliver Daniels."
