"With the legal system you guys!"December 2024
"Hey boy!" Cecilia greeted the dog with a grin, falling to her knees to pet him but she cringed back slightly when he licked her face.
"CeCe! I brought you a sweater!" Kate beamed tossing the Tinsel-y fabric at the teen who caught it with ease while eying it in distaste.
"Really nailed ugly Christmas sweater on the head now didn't ya?" Cecilia asked with a teasing smile making Clint laugh as she slid it on over her tank top, her brown hair sticking up from the static as she pulled it down.
"What movies are on the lineup?" Cecilia asked as she hopped over the back of the couch and landed next to Kate, Clint looked over at the two who were digging through the bag of movies, a fond look on his face as he was thankful that they both had come over.
"Wait, can we put a pause on that and talk about Sword Boy for a minute?" Clint asked making Cecilia peer over him and the frozen margarites tapped to him. "You got god instincts, kid."
"What do you mean?"
"So I did a little digging and turns out, Sloan's a shell company that launders money for the Tracksuits. And jack Duquesne is the CEO." Cecilia's eyes widened and instantly flew to her best friend. Kate's mouth was parted slightly but she nodded and started getting more things from the bag she had brought.
"Okay, well, we're just gonna have to come up with a plan to take down my mom's fiance's organized crime ring while simultaneously having a heartwarming holiday celebration."
"Reminds me of my childhood," Cecilia sighed dramatically, making her friend smile as she headed towards the kitchen.
"Got any more of that slushy stuff?" Kate called out over her shoulder as Cecilia grabbed a pair of antlers and put them on the dog's head.
"You're too cute," She sighed sitting on the floor next to him allowing his head to rest in her lap.
"Where'd you go?" Clint asked over the sound of the blender from the kitchen counter.
"I went to the gym to train a little bit, ran into my dad which was fun," Cecilia's words had slight sarcasm to them but she shrugged it off, she didn't like having to drag him into anything, plus she felt like he was acting strange.
"If you don't mind me asking, how old were you when you found out your dad was Daredevil?" The question was kind of random but she figured he'd be curious, she definitely had questions for him but she figured she should bottle them.
