"Let's just talk it out."

December 2024

November had bled into December and despite Kate's best efforts she hadn't been able to keep Cecilia from seeking out Spider-Man, except he seemed to have vanished. SheDevil had been very loudly and publicly stopping crime in hopes to catch the web slinger's attention yet it seemed he was gone.

This only added to the girl's suspicions of the man, leading to her spending a lot of time on the internet trying to find him or see if anyone had gotten a sighting of him.

"You know, maybe you're going about this wrong," Kate said making Cecilia give her an unimpressed look as she glanced up from her laptop with an eyebrow raised.

"How so?" The girl asked with pursed lips and a teasing tone making Kate realize what she said, Kate had a way of blunt honesty that often came off as rude.

"I just mean, the first time we saw him was as damsels in distress," Kate said in a sarcastic tone knowing neither of them was damsels nor in distress.

"So...you're saying we go out in the middle of the night and look for trouble?" Cecilia asked closing the lid to her computer and pushing it off her lap onto the couch next to her. Kate shrugged falling onto the couch next to the girl and letting out a sigh.

"Maybe..." She cringed back realizing how loose her plan was. "I mean, we wouldn't actually be in trouble cause we don't need saving," She added watching as her friend thought about it for a moment.

"How do I work him breaking into Oscorp into that conversation naturally?" Cecilia asked with a small chuckle at the thought. "Not without giving up my identity," She added.

"Well, we could still do it to see if he's even in the area anymore." The Bishop girl suggested making her friend nod in agreement.

"Okay. I'm in."

And that's how Cecilia and Kate found themselves in a shady bar of Hell's Kitchen. Kate sat with a drink while Cecilia sat with a water seeing as she was underage.

"So you think it'll work?" Kate asked as she sipped on her colorful drink. Cecilia shrugged in response, overall just over the amount of grown men who came over to try and hit on them.

"It did last time, two drunk girls on their way home in need of saving," The younger girl replied sarcastically as she looked over the faces of all the people in the bar, them landing on a group of four men who were huddled near the pool table, their eyes drifting to the two girls repeatedly.
