"It's really freaky how you can do that man!"
December 2024
It wasn't exactly surprising the only thing she found on Venessa was old news articles about the night Fisk had gotten arrested but it still managed to irritate her.
These people were monsters and yet somehow still invincible. Cecilia was determined to put an end to Fisk's bullshit altogether, even if it was the last thing she did. But for now, she would have to settle for helping Kate and ending what she started.
So she snuck herself into Kate's mother's apartment and managed to find Clint and Kate huddled over the woman's computer. The man turned around once he heard her footsteps and gave her a small nod, not bothering to question how she got there.
"Hey, did you show him your drawing?" Cecilia asked in a teasing tone as she bumped her shoulder into Kate's, resulting in the older girl rolling her eyes and chuckling.
"Let me see what I can pull up on Jack," Kate said as Clint walked around the apartment, his eyes taking in all the swords. "Crap. Now there's an embedded hardware authentication. And I've just been locked out," Kate sighed as the two girls looked at the error message across the screen.
"Clint?" Cecilia called out when she didn't get a response, her eyes widened when she saw Clint at sword point with Jack on the other end of it.
"Don't move," Jack stated glaring daggers at the man making Cecilia furrow her eyebrows in confusion and slight irritation, they didn't have time for this. "Stay exactly where you are."
"Seriously?" Cecilia scoffed slightly as Kate lept forward and stopped him.
"Jack, no!"
"What the hell is going on? And why is there an Avenger in my dining room? Hi Cece," Eleanor said her eyes drifting between all of the people in the room, Cecilia was definitely thankful she wore her regular clothes as she gave her friend's mom an awkward smile.
"Oh, my God. You're... You're Archer," Jack exclaimed as he lowered the sword with a surprised look on his face. Clint desperately tried to ignore the look the two college students shared.
"Hawkeye."
"It's the branding issue, I'm telling you," Kate whispered making Cecilia nod in agreement and lean forward. "Definitely branding." Clint rolled his eyes at their comments and chuckled awkwardly.
"We were working on a case, and we needed to use the bathroom," Kate started making her friend nod along in agreement and continue their lie. "He did. So, were by the house, popped by." Cecilia plastered a smile across her face making the Bishop woman look between the three with suspicion.
