I hadn't realized how attached I had gotten to my routine and Bruno, until during the seventh month Dolores, along with the rest of the kids bid me a goodnight as "Tia (y/n)".

I glanced at Bruno who flushed at the implications. We had been spending every day together for seven months, and even before we had our daily routine his hermanas thought we were together. Not knowing how to respond, I just scooped Dolores into a hug.

"Buenos noches mi sobrina favorita." I said and she giggled, waving as her parents dragged her off to bed. Felix gave a knowing smirk and I immaturely stuck my tongue out at him, causing Camilo to laugh.

Bruno sat next to me as he had many nights before, and just watched quietly as I finished what I was doing.

"T-they called you their tia." He said quietly.

"Dolores, I think, put them up to it." I said, "She told me the first night we did this, that if I was her tia that I would be her favorite."

"Probably because you're quiet when you work." He said and put his head on my shoulder.

"She likes the sound of the beads."

"Oh, is that what she carries around in that little bottle?"

"Yeah I gave it to her when she mentioned she enjoyed the sound. I think it helps her concentrate on one sound so she doesn't get overwhelmed."

"Y-you are really something else." I could feel his smile in the way his face rested upon me.

"So are you, Bruno." I smiled and looked over, only seeing his curls messily put up in the hair pin, and his nose. I set down my beadwork and wrapped my arm around his shoulders.

The time I spent with him didn't detract from the feelings I had at the beginning, rather it made them grow. Although now I had realized that I would be happy with Bruno, my best friend. His slight frame melted into me and I cozily sat there with him.

"Will Hernando fight for Gabriella's affections?" I asked, suddenly feeling very at peace and exhausted from the limited sleep I had been getting.

"Hmm," Bruno said, suddenly yawning. "I don't know, will he?"

"You are the brilliant wordsmith, you should tell me." I returned his yawn.

I waited for his response, but none came as my eyelids became heavy and the sounds of his breathing lulled me into sleep. I had sadly forgotten that I become nearly useless if someone falls asleep touching me, drawing me into their dreams.

I popped into his dream and saw the swirling green fog I hadn't been able to place before. Walking through it I saw Bruno smiling and holding the hand of a woman. Knowing dreams were a fickle thing, I hung back. I wouldn't be the cause for a nightmare. I did try to see who the woman was, my curiosity definitely piqued. As I stayed out of the line of sight of Bruno I realized something. She wore my sage blouse, and my green skirt. Carefully coming closer to the scene, I saw it was me. I looked at Bruno reverently. My eyes were only for him. I looked stunningly beautiful.

I couldn't help but wonder if that was how he saw me. I looked perfect, and I had a glow that I knew I did not have.

My questions were answered when I heard Bruno speak. The sound was airy, a bit like listening to someone from a long distance in a large space meant to carry sound.

"Mi amor, I cannot help but love you." He said moving his hand up to my face. "I have been so scared to tell you."

My own voice, in the same fashion came forth from my dream-self. "I love you too, mi vida. You have nothing to fear."
