"Pepa?!" I yelled as I walked to where Bruno told me she would be.
"Ah! There you are!" She said trying to get rid of a rain cloud. "I need some help, the rain from the mountains is keeping me busy saving the crops, and Camilo's gift ceremony is coming up. Felix is doing all he can. Could you please lend him a hand in planning it? Bruno and Julieta are busy with Mirabel's and I can't do anything but try and make clear skies."
"Of course, what still needs to be done?"
"Everything!" She thundered.
"Hey, don't worry about it. I will help, Bruno is busy doing Mira's so it's the least I can do."
"Gracias, hermana. You and Bruno have been such a big help."
"Hey, we are just being the supportive tio and tia." I nudged her and she smiled.
"When you and Bruno have kids I promise to help in any way possible on their gift ceremony." She promised.
"We would appreciate it. But I should get back to Casita and make sure Felix has things under control."
"Si." She nodded and I made my way back up to Casita. Noticing the quiet chatter of Bruno, Agustin, and Julieta from the kitchen, I stuck my head in.
"How goes the planning?" I asked.
"Smoothly, for right now. How was Pepita?" Julieta asked.
"Thundering. She thinks Felix isn't doing a great job planning without her there, so she recruited me."
"Welcome to the hellscape of gift ceremonies." Agustin said.
"Thanks, I guess." I said and walked over to Bruno. "I'm going to go find Felix and try and see if he truly knows what Pepa wants for Camilo. But first-" I leaned down and kissed Bruno. "I think we needed that."
He smiled and I waved to them as I climbed up the stairs. Dolores stuck her head out of her door as I was about to go past.
"Papi is in the nursery with Milo and Mira. He doesn't need any help except keeping the kids busy."
"Gracias, Dolores." I whispered.
"Despite what mami thinks, papi planned my gift ceremony. It was perfect. I don't think there will be any issues."
I smiled at her. "I was just going to double check things anyways. I know your papi knows his way around a party."
I turned to walk away when she grabbed my arm. "Make sure Tio Bruno is okay? He has sounded pretty stressed about Mirabel."
I nodded. I had noticed the same thing. "I think he wants it to be perfect for her. But I will talk to him about it."
She nodded and I finished walking to the nursery. Knocking on the door I saw a frazzled Felix.
"So Pepa sent me." I said.
"Thank goodness. Pepi and I did Dolores' party plans together, but now her gift has her away all day. I just don't know what to do, especially with me on kid duty."
"How about I take over kid duty, and you go get an arepa and some water from Julieta. Then we can all sit in here and plan!"
Camilo latched onto my olive skirt and Mirabel yelled happily. Felix looked back at the kids then down at the notebook he held.
Sighing he said, "I'll be back in fifteen minutes."
I nodded and sat down with the two almost five year olds. "So, what are you most exited for on your Cumpleaños?" I put up a warning finger. "Besides your gifts."
