Just like the day of our wedding, Bruno closed his eyes as soon as he woke up.

"I don't want to jinx this again." He said. Even though his eyes were closed his hands found my face and he brought me into a sweet and loving kiss. "I want today to go perfectly."

"Me too, Bruno." I sighed as his lips left mine. I quickly got up and dressed as I watched Bruno throw the covers over his face. "You're silly, Bruno Madrigal." I laughed. "It's so cute when you get all superstitious."

"Just go and get ready. I want us to reaffirm our vows." He said in mock exasperation.

"Imatient, are we?"

"Very." He laughed from beneath the blankets. After putting on my clothes I walked back over to the bed.

"Close your eyes, I want one more kiss." I told him and he removed the blanket. I leaned down and let my fingers tangled in his salt and pepper curls, drawing him in for a passionate kiss. He groaned as I broke the kiss with a smile.

"Just a kiss for the road." I said and he sighed.

"You will be the death of me, amor."

"I just wanted to leave you with a promise for later." I said grinning as I walked out of our bedroom and downstairs. Pepa and Dolores quickly wrapped me in a hug and shoved an arepa and coffee in my hands.

"Let's get going, do you have everything?" Dolores asked me.

I checked my bag and nodded. "Yes, everything is accounted for."

"Good, let's go, mama, Isa, Luisa, Mira, and Julie are already at Selena's." Pepa told me.

"Have fun, hermana!" Felix said to me with with grin. "We will make sure Bruno is in tip top shape at the altar."

I thanked him, after being quickly hugged by Camilo and Antonio. They waved as we left, and I was very nervous about my dress. We made good time getting to Selena's shop and my breath caught as I saw the rest of the Madrigal women, including Alma wearing green dresses. They each had embroidery and beadwork going up the skirts. Isa's had poppies, Luisa's had soft swirls and bold lines, Mira's and Alma's had butterflies, and Julieta's had different herbal plants. Selena grinned as she saw my reaction.

"You taught Mirabel and Dolores well, amiga.' She said with a grin. "But this isn't even the biggest most important surprise." Selena gently led me to the back room and my mouth dropped.

The creme dress was in the same style as my betrothal gown years prior. The embellishments along the skirt and bodice represented not just Bruno and myself, but had aspects from everyone in the family. I smiled softly at the butterfly on the ruffles and looked at Mirabel.

"You did it again, Mira." I tried to choke back tears. "It's absolutely beautiful." I looked at Dolores and grinned. "I'm so proud of you, hija. You really have done amazing work, I'm so happy you followed in my footsteps."

Dolores ran up to me crushing me in a hug. "Oh, tia, that's because I was taught by the best."

Her words made me start to cry and she happily wiped my tears away.

"Mi sobrina favorita!" I said through the tears and hugged her again. "Okay, okay." I said trying to quell the happy feelings that were making me weep. "I have to get into this masterpiece, and you and your madre need to get ready."

They nodded and everyone left the room except for myself and Selena.

"I'm so happy that you and Bruno are renewing your vows." She said to me as I began to get into the dress. "You were so miserable without him, and I consider you a friend, and it hurt seeing you like that. If you don't mind me saying, you look years younger."
