The News Chap.4

The Next Morning....

It was a breezy morning, the whole of Inazuma city was starting to awaken, you turned over on your futon, just as your bedroom door slid open, Keiko stepped inside walking over 

"Good morning, Lady (Y/n)"

you sat up "good morning"

you pushed the comforter off your legs, getting up from your futon, you tidied It up before leaving your bedroom as to bathe, Keiko had already filled the wooden tub with semi-hot water and soap, you undressed from your night yukata, getting into the tub, you took the cloth first washing your face, before you started to wash yourself, Keiko undid your braid gathering your hair to start washing It, she soaped It up until there were bubbles, scrubbing and washing 

you started to think "If Lord Kamisato marries, it'll be a grand wedding no doubt"

Keiko nodded "yes, as he's from the most noble clan in the land"

you continued washing yourself, until you finished, waiting as Keiko then smoothed your hair, getting the wooden basin, she poured some water over your head as to rinse It, before she wrung It out a little, you then stood as she handed you the towel, you dried yourself, putting on the white yukata you went back to your bedroom, Keiko helped you get ready as usual 

you put on the underdress and Haneri, Keiko brought over your usual short purple Kimono, you put It on as she then tied the Obi, fixing all the little details, she then did your hair, drying it a little more, combing it, putting half of It into a bun with a flower pin, braiding the rest 

you smoothed the braid over your shoulder, you rose putting on some black stockings, leaving your bedroom as breakfast was ready by now, you went to the dining area, kneeling onto a tatami mat the cook had already laid out the usual breakfast spread, you clasped your hands giving thanks to Baal the Electro Archon, you then picked up your chopsticks starting to eat 

Keiko soon returned "M'lady, Her Excellency needs to see you Immediately after breakfast"

you nodded "Alright"

you continued to eat, wondering what needed such urgent attention, but whatever your mother asked or needed you to do, you'd do It, you nibbled on a bit of the salted fish, taking In some more rice, when you finished eating, Keiko cleared away your dishes, you then wiped your mouth also fixing your attire, rising to your feet you headed to her study, 

you rapped on the wooden frame "Mother, may I enter"

"Yes, Good morning, come in"

you slid it open, coming inside, it seemed she was truly here Instead of the Shogun, you kneeled down bowing your head, before you inched a little closer not too far from her desk 

"You needed to see me"

Raiden Ei nodded "Yes, a letter came to me this morning, It's from the Kamisato Clan"

 you were curious "Oh?"

Ei took the scroll in her hands, unrolling It "I'm sure you've heard the rumors, about their Clan Leader planning to marry, well It isn't a rumor"

she looked you in the eye "(Y/n), the Kamisato Clan as chosen you, to be the bride of their Clan Leader"

you sat there stunned, not knowing what to say before you nodded "Oh, I...I see"

Ei sighed "I was thinking of declining for you, but It seems they're persistent finding you to be the most eligible woman, they'd like to ally and prove their services to me through this, well so be It, I consent to this, what do you say"

"I...I've never thought of getting married, but If It's what fate so choses for me, then by your wishes I will consent as well"

Ei stood up, coming around to sit next to you "I thought you'd insist to decline"

you shook your head "no, it wouldn't be proper as the Kamisato clan has served this nation for a longtime, If I've been chosen to wed their Clan leader, I won't speak against It"

Raiden Ei closed her purple eyes "That is true, they are loyal and have served Inazuma well, If this is what they want, so be It but If there's ulterior motive, I will not tolerate It"

she placed a hand on your shoulder "To think, my daughter will be marrying soon I never thought I'd see It"

you smiled "If not now, then sometime later perhaps, all women eventually marry"

Ei nodded "I suppose so, alright I'll write a response to them, you may go now"

you bowed "yes, Mother"

you felt your hands start to tremble, along with the rest of your body, although up until then you'd been keeping It calm, you were actually starting to feel frightened.
