A few weeks later...

It was finally within your ninth month of pregnancy, Ayato and everyone within the estate were on high alert, just the other day you'd chosen a midwife her name was Kushina, so far, she'd been very kind and helpful to you and It gave Keiko a break at times, she'd sat down with you and Ayato as she explained how It would go when you gave birth, recently Ayato went to go visit the Narukami Shrine as to pray for yours and the baby's safety when you give birth, Yae Miko had also come by the estate as to give blessings of her own, the same could be said for Kokomi, having all of this support made you and Ayato feel more at ease, all you had to do now was wait.

It was In the middle of the night, you'd had nausea quite a bit earlier before sleeping but It went away, you were snuggled up within Ayato's arms sleeping soundly, Ei had sent a gift for her grandchild earlier It was a set of baby toys, Ei was just as nervous as you since this would be a critical time for you, while you slept you started to feel discomfort and you supposed It was the usual cramps, you carefully stood up from the futon as you rubbed your stomach, you started to walk around the room a bit, the doctor told you movement is good for you to do at times 

you smiled, looking down at your stomach "sweetheart, we can't wait to meet you"

but then you felt the pains become worse, you furrowed your brows as you then let out a small sound, you gasped as you felt a rush of water come out, you looked down as your now soiled Yukata as you knew what was happening, It was finally time, you walked back over to the futon as you held your stomach, getting on your knees as you tried to wake up your husband 

your eyes were watery, you shook him "Darling wake up, Ayato please"

Ayato opened his Lavendar eyes, "hm? what's the matter love"

he then noticed how shaken you looked, he sat up with furrowed brows "What's wrong?"

you started, "my water broke..."

his eyes widened, he then nodded as he then held your shoulders "are you sure? Alright I'll go send for Kushina"

you nodded, he then cupped your cheek "It'll be alright, don't fear"

you nodded again, placing your hand atop his as you then touched foreheads, he pecked your lips before he got up to leave the bedroom, soon returning with Kushina and Keiko In tow 

Kushina came over, "your water as already broken correct"?"

"Yes"

Kushina came over, "Miss Keiko, help her highness change into something clean"

Keiko nodded; she went to get another one of the Yukata's an Kushina came over to Ayato 

she bowed, "your lordship If you would wait outside, this is now a delivery room and men cannot come in"

Ayato looked over her shoulder at you, he then let out a sigh "Alright...I understand,"

Keiko had changed your Yukata as she then helped you to lie down, just then Ayaka and Kokomi came as they'd heard the ruckus, Ayato went over to your side as he had to leave 

he held your hand, "My love, I can't be in here with you I have to go outside,"

you gave his hand a squeeze, "I understand, darling I'm starting to feel afraid..."

Ayato came closer, resting his cheek against yours "don't be afraid It'll be alright, 

you started tearing up more, looking at him through your blurry vision from tears, one escaped your eye and he wiped it from your cheek, you shared a kiss before he reluctantly left your side, Ayaka patted his shoulder as to give him reassurance, "I'll be here with sister, don't worry"
