A few days later....

It was the afternoon, you'd just finished having lunch, today was one of those day's you'd train and spar with your mother, now that you were older, she wouldn't go easy on you as expected, when it came to spars, you were a little afraid sometimes, as your mother wasn't just any other warrior, she was the Electro Archon Baal who could command the thunder and lightning, so sometimes she was very Intimidating, but you knew she was a gentle and kind soul 

you went outside to the courtyard, Ei was kneeling not too far away, upon sensing you she stood up before summoning her polearm, rotating it a few times as she backed farther away 

"I am ready, begin when you so see fit"

you gave a nod, before you summoned your sword, it glowed with purple aura as you channeled your Electro Vision, you both started to walk in a circle, but then Ei struck first rushing up to you, she swiped with her polearm, you jumped back dodging as you countered, the sounds of metal filled the air as you used your blade to counter her, her eyes glowed as she raised her polearm, sending forth a flash of lightening, you gasped quickly putting up a shield, It struck your shield over and over unyielding, Ei rushed forward with a swing of her polearm, shattered It 

the force sent you backwards onto the ground, you tumbled a little, but then quickly got back onto your feet, you brushed off your kimono, channeling your Electro element slashing the air you sent waves lightening her way, she backflipped dodging every single attack 

she furrowed her brows "Didn't I teach you better, you're stronger than this I know you are"

you caught your breath "I...I know"

you held to your sword, taking in a breath you then rushed up to her, you clashed again but this time you used your Electro Vision creating a barrage of black like blades, Ei was taken aback, dodging in her bewilderment, you didn't let up, she was then nicked on the leg

Raiden Ei for the first time in her life, stumbled as she then rotated her polearm to counter you again, but you took this moment of weakness to your advantage, nearly making her topple 

you flipped backwards, but then she gained her footing back, striking down a wave of her own power, you fell back onto the ground with a *thud* as Ei started walking up to you 

you tried reaching for your sword, you inched towards It bit by bit, but Ei kicked It away as you turned over to be met by the tip of her polearm, she let out a sigh dismissing her weapon 

"That is enough for today, you can't be injured too much as In a few days you're to be meeting your Fiancé"

you panted, before giving a nod as she helped you back onto your feet, doing the motherly action of wiping off your kimono and face, although you'd lost to her again today, she saw some Improvements which brought her some happiness, Ei was proud of your growth

she smiled "although your form needs more work, you've done something I've never seen before, well done (Y/n)"

you started to smile, bowing your head "I'll keep working hard, thank you Mother"

Ei then patted your shoulder "I'll be In the Plane of Euthymia if you need me"

she then disappeared in a flash, you stumbled back a little just as Keiko rushed outside

"Lady (Y/n), are you alright"

you nodded "yes, although I feel a little bruised, I just finished my training for today I'll go change my clothes"

Keiko bowed, you then started back up the stairs, heading back inside the palace as to change your clothes, you weren't too battered just with a few bruises, you put on a different Kimono for now as Keiko was going to wash and mend your usual one, you fixed up your hair a little 

you looked in the mirror you starting to think, a few days ago your mother told you the news of you being chosen, in a few short weeks you'd be getting married to the Kamisato Clan leader 

you didn't know much about Ayato Kamisato, even though only meeting him once when little, you could remember his face, he was a very handsome young man, his hair the color of the sky, and his eyes cool as the water in a stream, he was kind and respectable from what you could see

although he did accomplish some great merits, you heard he was disliked by the public the reason as to why, you didn't know, but you knew society had their opinions 

you brushed off your Indigo Kimono, standing up you went over to retrieve your Shamisen, you had been tuning It for the right sound, it had taken three years to do, you took the bachi In hand starting to strum the strings, the sounds vibrated throughout your room, you always enjoyed the sound of a shamisen finding It to be soothing, but just then your door slid open 

Keiko entered "Lady (Y/n), her Excellency has said you're to meet Lord Kamisato In three days"

you looked up "Three...days?"

she nodded "yes, Her Excellency wishes for you to start preparing"

you gave a nod "Alright"

you handed your Shamisen to Keiko, she stored It away, just as you tried standing up your leg faltered a little, you caught yourself quickly as you felt your hand start to tremble 

Keiko noticed "is something the matter, are you actually injured?"

you shook your head "no, I haven't been much like myself lately"

Keiko came over "How come?"

you placed a hand over your heart "to be honest...I'm actually frightened, marriage has never once crossed my mind, and to be marrying the leader of the most prominent clan It's a little bit overwhelming, will I be able to be a good wife?"

Keiko smiled "Of course you will, my lady you have so much to offer, you're the princess of Inazuma after all"

you looked down "I suppose, but I've always heard marriage should be a union between two people in love, I've only met him once and I've never fallen in love before"

you started to smile "that's good to know, if we're to spend our lives together under one roof getting along Is most important, I'd...hate to incur his anger or displeasure by mistake"
