Initially, Arthit had wanted to wait for Kongpob to wake up, but to his surprise, the two days of fear had taken so much out of him that he had fallen asleep while holding Kongpob's hand.
When he woke up again, it was already midnight and Arthit was ready for his back to ache, but when he opened his eyes, he found himself somehow lying on a hospital bed, sleeping peacefully in Kongpob's arms.
He blinked and jerked his head up the moment his mind cleared, only to find that Kongpob had woken up somehow staring at him intently with his eyes shining brightly, his eyes so earnest that he was afraid he might lose him if he wasn't careful.
Arthit was so excited to see him awake that he couldn't help but go over to him and give him a huge kiss on the lips.
Only when he had finished did he realize what he had done, and his face turned red instantly as he tried to pull away.
However, Kongpob wouldn't let him go, holding his neck with one hand to stop him from escaping, and then pressing his lips and tongue against his own without a word, driving right into him.
Arthit only resisted at first because he was caught off guard, but then he willingly surrendered to him.
In the silence of the night, the mere slurping of lips and teeth was a blush to the ears.
By the time they finally managed to pull apart breathlessly, Arthit's face was flushed to the back of his ears.
He averted his eyes in a panic and whispered, "That's a good lung capacity, so I guess you are fine now."
Kongpob embraced him contentedly, his voice still hoarse from when he had woken up earlier, but it sounded much better because it was less emotionally charged, "Don't worry, I'm fine."
Arthit lifted his face again, looked into his eyes and asked in a low voice, "So how far back in time is your memory now? Do you remember anything from your illness?
Kongpob thought for a moment and then nodded gently, however just as he was about to speak, he was interrupted by Arthit with a nervous look on his face: "Well....I-I admit that I was too careless at the time, that's why I never saw that something was wrong with you, and I thought you were just stressed out because you were about to take your exams. Beside that I asked you not to come to me on the weekend.....I was really just afraid that you would be distracted too much and that it would have an effect on your exams, I just wanted you to be able to study hard so that when the exams are over, we can be together every day."
Arthit, a man with a tough mouth, usually finds it hard to get him to say such straightforward things, but this time Kongpob's drowning had obviously scared him, and the series of explanations came out like there's no tomorrow, leaving no room at all for Kongpob to interject.
"And ...... that time I bumped into you with M, it took a lot of restraint for me not to go back to you. I actually wanted to go to you specifically to ask for clarification, but ...... I was too prideful, so please, don't be disappointed, just forgive me this once and I will never be headstrong again."
Arthit said many things in a row that were contrary to his usual style, and by the end, his voice was so low that it was almost inaudible.
Kongpob, however, could hear it all the same.
He pressed his forehead against Arthit's and couldn't help but move in and kiss him again and again.
Arthit was stiffening up against his arm, his face so tense that he forgot to stop him, letting him take advantage of him for nothing.
Kongpob was so happy to see how nervous he was for him that he wanted to watch him for a while longer, but he could not help but feel more distressed by Arthit's display of timidity than by his own joy.
