2 years ago.....

The sky had been gloomy all afternoon, and yet the rain had not fallen.

Arthit tossed the umbrella in his hand in boredom, still feeling somewhat awkward.

In this weather, even if it did rain, it would only be a drizzle.

But when he went out, his mother had asked him to take his umbrella with him - a small transparent umbrella.

He was a big boy, and carrying such an umbrella, no matter how you looked at it, seemed to be an eyesore.

Arthit had just reached a junction where he needed to cross when the red light came on.

Arthit hooked the string on the handle of his umbrella onto his finger, tossed it around a few times, and glanced offhand, but his heart flickered the moment he saw the young boy beside him.

Arthit had always been praised for his good looks since he was a child, and he had no concept of the word 'handsome', as if there was no distinction in his eyes between the good and the bad.

But the look in the eyes of the person beside him seemed to be exactly the way he wanted it to be, and with just one glance, his heart missed a beat, and then it pounded faster.

As if to match his sudden heartbeat, the water vapour in the air finally condensed into drops at this moment, dripping down on his body.

In a rain like this, Arthit would not have been able to bring himself to open his umbrella.

But this time, when he saw the boy's hand in front of his glasses, he took a big step to the side and opened his umbrella in response.

It was only when he met the boy's sparkling eyes behind his glasses that Arthit realized what he had done, and, having never approached a stranger before, his face heated up a little and he could only smile hastily at the other man and look ahead without batting an eye.

It was a good thing that the rain was coming down a little harder around him too, hitting the umbrella one by one, keeping the air around him from being too awkwardly quiet.

"Well, umm ...... my name is Kongpob and I go to L High School nearby, how about you?" Probably because it was too strange for two people so close to each other to stay silent, the boy beside him hesitantly blurted out a question to him.

Arthit's heart grew even more nervous, and his palms seemed to sweat as he gripped the handle of his umbrella.

"My name is Arthit," he said hastily, and his voice felt like it was caught in his throat, unable to come out again.

The more nervous he became, the more Arthit couldn't help but mentally chastise himself for his presumption.

He didn't know what had possessed him to do such a thing as initiate a conversation with a stranger.

The taxi driver, intent on getting some business, slowed down and leaned over to them.

But before he could ask anything further, Arthit hastily pulled towards the door of the taxi, which the driver hastily stopped and unlocked.

Arthit opened the door, froze, hastily shoved the umbrella into Kongpob's hands and got into the car without looking back, slamming the door behind him.

"Move." He urged in embarrassment.

The driver was also confused by this sequence of actions and hurriedly stepped on the accelerator with a single gesture. The taxi just took off to Kongpob's dismay.
