"Oh my god.."

I covered my mouth with my hand to prevent me from saying more things I shouldn't say. Kai was still staring at me, not knowing how to react to my stupid emotions.

"You know.. I- I'm just gonna go."

I pulled some bucks out of my bra and placed them on the counter in a rush. As I hopped off the stool Kais hand wrapped around my arm. He pulled me back onto the chair and looked me deep in the eyes.

"Did you mean that?"

Sighing at his question I closed my eyes and threw my head back.

"Of course not! I was just– All of these emotions at once it.. god it sucks!"

I buried my face into my palms. I wasn't able to look him the eyes. What kind of idiot tells a sociopath that she loves him? That's just as if you'd tell Damon to not be impulsive!

"Then turn it off.."

My eyes slowly turned to Kai, who was dead serious about his statement. Actually, if I'd turn it off, I wouldn't suffer like this. My heart wouldn't ache, my conscience would practically not exist.
Everything would be better.

On the other hand.. it sucks when you turn it on again. I'd rather handle this little emotional outbreak than a bigger one.

"No.. I'm fine."

Kai shrugged his shoulders and got the attention of the bartender. He looked over to me and smiled.

"She'll get a Bourbon and I..."

He stared down at me slowly stroking my thigh. A smirk spread on his face as I started clenching my legs.

"Get ne a sex on the beach."

The blonde girl rolled her eyes and shook her head at us.
"Very charming but I'll need to see some ID first."
I quickly nodded and got my ID out to hand it her and so did Kai.

She gave me my card back but scoffed at Kais. "1972.. seriously?" Oh god we needed to get a fake ID for this idiot. There were so many things left to do and I had no idea where to start.

"Oh true story, but that's not the most interesting thing on that ID, here look again."

He handed her the card again, making me frown. What the hell was he doing?

"Malachai Park–"

Before she could even finish her sentence, she tried to run away, but Kai grabbed her wrist and started siphoning her magic.

Without question his actions I emptied the bar from its last three guests and locked the doors. While the two of them were talking I made sure that no one was hiding in the restrooms and as I got back I saw them fight.

"MOTUS!"

Kai flew across the room and fell into the chairs and tables. Blondie tried to escape but with a quick hand move I prevented that. "Why do you help him?!" She cried out. I didn't answer her question. I motused her against the nearest wall and held her there until Kai got back.

"Partners in crime."

He winked at me and brought his fist up. I gave him a fist bump and looked at the curly head, who was trying to escape my spell with her owns.

"What's the matter with her?"

Just as Kai wanted to answer me, she did.
"Don't trust him! He's crazy– he tried to kill me and my family!" What? Wait that must've mean that this girl..

"I'm his–"

"Sister."

I felt the alcohol rush out of my body and the sober side of my brain started realizing what all of that meant. My eyes traveled to Kai, who was already staring at me.

"You didn't come here for me."

Kai just huffed at my words.
The look he was giving me made me feel so stupid and naive that I wanted to burst out in tears right there. But I didn't. I stayed strong, because the hurt soon turned into anger.

"I guess I saw more in you than a heartless sociopath.

I undid my spell, causing Olivia to gently land on the ground again and Kai to clench his jaw.

"What a bloody mistake."

With a swift motion I made Kai crush against the Bar and rapidly turned to his little sister.

"Olivia- run-"

While keeping Kai in his place, I used my magic to open the door for her to escape and locked it back after she got out.

"God! Why would you let her go?!"

"Because you—"

Suddenly Kais hand wrapped around my neck and he pressed me onto the wall. I was caught off guard so I didn't even have time to react. My feet took off the ground, so I grabbed onto his wrist.
Not only was he choking me, but also siphoning everything out.

"Kai.."

I gulped against his palm but he didn't seem to care. His hand squeezed tears into my eyes and with every second passing I could hold on a little less.

"Please stop Kai!"

Kais darkened eyes stared directly into mine with not a single emotion in them. From the corner of my eye I could already see my fingers turning grey and Kai also noticed it. He didn't stop, if anything he tried to fasten the process of siphoning me to death.

"Why?"

Kai moved even closer to my face and stopped as his cheek was resting against mine and his lips were brushing against my earlobe.
My eyes started to roll back from the suffocation, but I tried to fight against it.

"You don't have to waste your time on trying to change me."

I heard him chuckle quietly against my ear before continuing;

"Liking yourself is the most important thing Layla.."

I felt the grey veins reaching my face and it was the worst feeling I have ever witnessed. It was like I was drying out from the inside, but that wasn't the most painful thing in that moment.

"And I like myself.."

He finally let go of me causing me fall on the floor and watch him leaving the bar..
