It was late in the evening after I finished telling Kai my tragic story and now I was laying on the red sofa in the living room, reading one of those old books which's pages already were turning yellow.

Kai was.. Well I ding know what he was up to. The last time I saw him was when he picked up a snack and disappears back in his room. To be honest I was mad at him. I told him everything- The story no one ever heard me talk about and he responded like a dickhead.
I knew that he was a sociopath with no true feelings but he could at least bring up a fake sad face.

Just as I shook my bead and wanted to refocus on this book I was reading, my body shivered from that munching I heard.

My eye started twitching out of irritation to that disgusting sound coming from the room upstairs. I decided to wait a few minutes before I would do something that I'd regret later on.

But the munching didn't stop, in fact, it got even louder. So I rushed upstairs to Stefans aka Kais room and slammed the door open, causing Kai to stare at me with furrowed brows.

I walked over to him, ripped the white gameboy out of his hand and smashed it on the floor.  After Kai stared at me with serious yet confused eyes, he spoke up;

"I was about to finish the level."

"Shut up-!"

Kais eyes narrowed and he hopped off the bed just to built up in front of me. I hated that he was taller and I had to lift my head in order to look him in the eyes.

"Are you on your period?"

"I am dead you idiot!"

I smacked the hard book against his chest, but he grabbed my wrist before the book could even touch his shirt. I tried freeing my hand out of his grip, but the more I wriggled around, the tighter his grasp got.

"Did you think just because you told me your little story I would feel sorry for you?"

My brows furrowed together after hearing his words. Well- I mean at least I expected him to be a little nicer from now on?

"I don't feel anything Layla."

He abruptly pushed me against the wall, making my bones crack. This little bastard-
"But I do Kai. I feel sorry for you."

I whispered into his face as he was holding me captive with his hands. "You're so pathetic and desperate for love that I have no other choice than feeling sorry for you."

Kai was about to slam a little pen into my neck, but I was a step ahead. I used my magic to chant a bad headache on Kai, making him sink down on his knees and hold on to his temples.

"Layla-"

"Go on Kai. Beg me to stop."

He groaned on pain but didn't even think of asking me to free him from his pain. I didn't even know why we fell back into this pattern after everything that happened in Portland and especially after I put him over Damon.

The only thing I knew was that I needed to hurt someone just like Damon hurt me. And seeing Kai on his knees somehow brought me peace.

"God I hate you-"

Kai brought up through his gritted teeth and that was when I decided to stop otherwise he would've died. Just as I was about to leave Kais room, he slammed the door shut and grabbed me by my throat

"You were scared of me just two days ago- did you get brave overnight sweetheart?"

I pushed Kai off of me, causing him to stumble a little backwards. With every step I took towards Kai, my black heels made noise which caught his attention.

"Scared of a little boy with daddy issues?"

Kai was about to attack me when I used a motus spell to push him back against the window behind him. It was getting darker and the night was clear with shining stars like every other night in this hell.

"You don't even know what fear means Kai."

The room was flooded with the dark night sky, it was now just the stars and the moon that made my face visible to him.

"I've seen things you've only seen in your nightmares. Things you can't even imagine."

I used my hand to make Kai look me in the eyes while I was talking to him.

"Things you can't even see."

Kai gulped heavily and suddenly he seemed so innocent. Like a little boy who got lost in a big city and was now desperate to find his mom.

"Don't underestimate a woman with the fire of her past still burning inside her."

I finally let go of Kai and was about to leave the room for good, when Kai suddenly took my wrist and pushed me against the door..
