"Thank you - keep the change!" Smiling at the cute barista guy, I made my way outside with the two coffees I got for me and Caroline. Summer break slowly came to an end and Caroline always used the last days to get her university knowledge back, which she had drank away during summer.

A guy who passed by winked at me before I entered the hallways. He was cute, but I decided to take a break from boys. I even wanted to move out of the mansion but Enzo and Stefan weren't too happy with my idea so I stayed.

Speaking of my brother, Romeo planned a trip to Paris with his Juliet. They both sent me hundreds of pictures even now, my phone was buzzing from Bonnies messages.

Stopping in the middle of the dorm hallway I got my phone out of my pocket and looked at the photos Bonnie had sent me. She was wearing minnie mouse ears while Enzo was kissing her in the French Disney land. My smile was wiped away immediately when I thought about the day Kai told me that he wanted to visit Disney world. Spoiler, it was the same day he killed me.

I decided to reply later and put my phone back in my pocket. Just as I was about to continue walking to Cares dorm room, the door to my left opened and a shirtless guy came out. He had his clothes in his palms and a dirty grin adorning his lips.

"Layla?"

Rolling my eyes at him, I tried to walk past him, but he let his clothes fall to the ground by grabbing my arm.

"What?"

I was pissed off. Kai somehow always managed to make me feel annoyed, or no - he was just annoying.
"Uh– it's not what it looks like." A scoff escaped my lips. "Really? 'Cause it looks like you had a one night stand." Kai smirked roguishly and licked his lips.

"Jealous?"

I huffed and shook my head. Unbelievable this guy. How could anyone be so arrogant and self involved?!

"Goodbye Kai."

His hand let go of my arm, so that I could finally enter Carolines room. She was wrapped in a towel and flinched as I opened the door.

"Layla! Towel! Knock!"

"Caroline, no one cares. No!"

She chuckled a little and went to her bathroom to put on some clothes, while I laid on Bonnies bed, muttering curse words at the ceiling. I hated him. Why would you – Ugh! I really became frustrated just by thinking about him!

"What did the ceiling do to you?"

I sat upright and handed her the coffee, which she was so grateful for. "So guess what happens.." Before starting my story about what just happened in the hallway, I took a sip from my coffee.

"I'm just minding my business, grabbing us some coffee and walking here. You know this girl in room thirteen?"

Caroline rolled her eyes. "I hate that bitch." I crossed my legs on the bed and got really hyped up while telling the story. "Right? She's so annoying! Well– Just as I'm walking past her door, guess who comes out!"

My best friend furrowed her brows and sat on her own bed. She also crossed her legs and looked at me with curious eyes. Caroline lived for the drama and I was so there for it.

"Kai."

Her jaw fell open as his name rolled off my lips.
"Shut up!" I nodded and got up to walk around the room. "Kai as in Kai Parker?"

"Yes! And he really had the balls to ask me if I was jealous of that girl!"

Caroline couldn't hide her giggling at his words, which made me even madder. She quickly rose her brows and took a sip of her hot drink.
"I mean he's not wrong."

"What did you just say?"

"Layla you threw yourself on him at the lake party, what did you expect?"

A sarcastic laugh trembled off my lips as Caroline spoke her words. "I- I.. I don't know but not that!" I yelled and looked into the mini fridge to check for blood bags, but there weren't any.

"No! I don't get this guy– he begs me to forgive him over months! Months! And then out of nowhere he stops and goes to fuck a little blonde bimbo?!"

I saw Carolines lips twitching into a playful smirk and I knew that I wouldn't like what she was about to say.

"You miss him."

"I'm surrounded by idiots."

Placing my hand on my forehead I tried to calm down, while Caroline was just laughing. "Admit it! You miss that he cares about you! You're a Leo, you love attention and you loved Kais attention – now that he stopped apologizing and chasing after you, you miss him."
My mouth opened at her words. She was wrong. Why would I miss him? He killed me? I didn't wanna miss him!

"I never believed in this astrology shit anyway."

Care got up and made her way to the make up bag, which was placed on a drawer.

"Okay let's say you don't miss Kai, but you miss the attention, the chase – Damon got over you with Elena and Kai does the same. He replaces you."

"Oh please Caroline, no one can replace me."

She rose her brows and went silent for a second. What I just said illuminated a lightbulb in my head, maybe not one of the best ideas I had but it was something.

"I'm gonna make him jealous."

"No! No– forget that! You and Kai, there is no future! We are all happy that he got out of our life, please don't bring him back!"

"God Caroline I'm not gonna marry him, I'm just gonna make him jealous.."
