"Wait what?"

Elena crossed her arms and stared at me and Damon. Oops- No. I was not sorry. That girl deserved to be put in her place.

"You guys were a thing?"

I smirked at Damon pretending to remember our past. "I wouldn't call it a thing-" Damon couldn't help but grin at my definition of our relationship in the 1950s.

"But don't worry darling, Augustine put me in cuffs before Damon could."

Damon let out surprised chuckle. After Elena gifted him an angry face, he hid his amused smile. My best friend turned to me, because he knew. He knew that I truly was wrecked there and that this bloody cell left a mark on my soul.

"You were in Augustin too?"

Caroline asked and now she genuinely seemed sorry for me, just as the others except Tyler. He was still mad at me for flirting with him for my advantage.

"Yes I was.. But topic change what's the dress code for the party?"

I asked Bonnie in excitement. She was irritated that I didn't seem to care about what happened in Augustine. The truth is that I cared, but I didn't want to talk about it any longer.
"Uh- I don't know.. Whatever you want."
I nodded and finished my drink.

Enzo came walking in and the moment he saw me he smiled in relief. As if he was afraid that I had left. I wasn't gonna leave that idiot of a brother ever again.

Suddenly a painful scream escaped Bonnies mouth, which made everyone turn to her.
She sunk to the ground and closed her eyes in agony.

Elena kneeled beside her best friend and rubbed her back. What the hell? "You alright?" Caroline asked the Bennett witch. She quickly nodded and got back up. I stared at her with an open mouth. Why is everybody so chill about this? That girl nearly collapsed.

"Don't worry about her."

Stefan must've recognized the expression on my face, because he referred to me with his sentence. "Well she almost died so–"

Bonnie put on a smirk, as if she didn't just fell to the ground.
"Aw you were worried about me?"

I rolled my eyes and turned to Stefan.
"It's not normal for a witch to break down like that." He nodded. "I'm the anchor Layla."
Oh bloody hell.

"What happened to Amara?" Everyone looked at me in confusion. "How do you-" I shook my head. "That's not the point, being the anchor is hell on earth Bonnie. Why did you agree?" She laughed a little. "I had no idea."

"Since the topics already open.. after those travelers came through I feel like the other side is breaking down guys and- I truly don't know how to stop it or what will happen to me if it does."

I knew what would happen to her.

"If the other side breaks down you'll die Bonnie."

Her mouth opened as I spoke my sentence. "Stop that." Elena hissed. "Yeah. Not funny." Caroline took Elenas side. Bloody idiots, why would I joke about such a serious topic?
Okay I got their point, I was sarcastic and little crazy, but I liked Bonnie.

"She's not joking."

Enzo said and confirmed my statement. "Oh please, how'd you know?" My brother rolled his eyes at Caroline. "She's my sister. I know her and I trust her."
The corners of my mouth twitched to a slight smile.

"Okay and how- how can we stop the other side from imploding?"

Caroline asked me, but sadly there was no answer to that question. No one could stop the other side from breaking down. As I stayed silent everyone understood that there was no way back..
