While walking out of the alley I wiped off the blood that was still sticking around my red lips. Just because I didn't kill Jason didn't mean I wouldn't drink his blood. Oh and Kai- Yeah that son of a bitch was following me along. I didn't know why but I was sick of him. I didn't turn off my humanity to be his stupid sidekick.

"That guy was a four- and you wanted to sleep with him."

I stopped and turned my head to Kai.

"A four? Mate if that guy is a four in your eyes, then what the hell on earth are you?"

Kai shrugged his shoulders and smiled happily.

"I'm a nine duh- actually a ten but the whole vampire thing is just a little ew."

My eyes rolled into the back of my head. Bloody idiot. I continued walking away but Kai didn't seem to get the memo. No matter where I went, his feet did the exact same steps like mine.

"Can you stop following me already?"

"But I'm not done with you yet."

I squinted my eyes and glanced over my shoulder to see how Kai meant those words, but his mimic didn't give me a hint. I couldn't decipher whether he was threatening me or flirting with me.

"And when will you be done with me?"

Kai grabbed my wrist and smashed me against the nearest wall, causing my spine to crack. I groaned in pain and wanted to punch him with my fist, but his reflexes were good, too good. He caught my other wrist in mid air and glued this one also to the wall. I squirmed in my spot, miserably trying to get out of his tight grip. All of my efforts were in vain.

"I want to see you break Layla."

My eyes narrowed. His intimidating glare went right into my soul, but I didn't buy a thing he said. He wanted to see me break? The boy with daddy issues?

"Oh really? And what's your brilliant plan Malachai? Do you want to kill every man that wants to fuck me?"

I said with a little chuckle at the end of my sentence, causing Kai to push me even harder against the wall.

"I don't care who fucks you, it's nothing I haven't done myself."

Touché, you bastard.

"No, I want to ruin you. I want you to lose control and be the merciless ripper I've first met. I want you to turn into a monster, so you won't dare to ever turn your humanity on, ever again."

I pushed Kai off of me and after a moment of staring at each other with eyes full of hatred, I wanted to walk away, but he once again held me back by my wrist. This time I had no idea what he was up to. Did he really think I'd care about becoming a ripper again? I had no problem with never turning the switch on again, in fact I was thrilled to not be ruled by love ever again. Because love made me weak. Loving Kai made me be such a whiny little girl that I forgot what kind of a strong woman I was without anyone by my side.

"You don't have to try to break me in order to meet the ripper. Just find me someone with a pumping heart."

This familiar grin, that meant nothing but chaos, appeared on Kais lips and it soon rubbed off on me. Within a second Kai vanished in the dark of Manhattans rainy alleys. I checked my nails ans when I looked back up Kai was back with a girl next to him. He didn't even have to hold her, she was compelled to stand still.

I knew exactly what Kai wanted. He nodded, confirming what he was expecting me to do to that brunette girl. After I felt a few cold rain drops on my skin, I let my fangs appear. The fear I could see in her face was everything I needed to make the last step. My sharp teeth disappeared in her soft skin, draining her blood and making her go paler with every second passing. She couldn't scream due to Kais compulsion, but the fact that her life was in my hands was enogh for me. The power I felt while ripping her flesh inch by inch was something no one could ever take away from me.

Her head fell off her body but I didn't ahve enough. I kneeled on the ground and sucked out the last bit of blood. Just when I heard Kai clapping, I stopped and tossed her body away before getting on my feet.

"Welcome back ripper."
