Banned Footage: Starry Night •Continuation

After weeks, Nathan and Veronica started talking again. They've exchanged numbers and would call each other whenever they like. Often times they would share about their experiences as a normal person and as a bioweapon. Veronica's glad that Nathan's perspective didn't change, just like he said.

Until one night, they both met in the cafe and climbed the ladder that reaches to the rooftop. They brought some champagne and bread with them. Meanwhile, in the Scarrow Residence. Natalie's in her bedroom diligently finishing her homeworks with her earphones on.

"NAT! DO YOUR GODDAMN LAUNDRY TOMORROW OK?"

Natalie groaned as she lowered the volume and replied to her mom saying, "I will! I will!" Then she maxed it again and continued answering her sheets. Her window adjacent to her bed made a creak sound but she didn't hear that. Chills went down her spine as she felt a swift gush of cold air rush through her room.

I could've sworn I left my windows locked. Unless Nathan sneaked out again. That idiot.

"Hey big bro, did you enjoy your date?", Natalie sarcastically said. Before she could turn her swivel chair around, an arm made its way around her neck and a hand covered her mouth. Natalie heaved a muffled scream as she dropped her pen and grabbed hold of the arm. She tried to wiggle out but the grip only got tighter. "I don't want to di-iee..."

The person laid her body on her bed and placed her blanket on top to make them think she's just asleep. They removed their mask and tried to breathe fresh air. "Fuck." Dorothy went to Natalie's desk and arranged her stuff and locked the door. "Sleep tight."

You know that feeling when you're so happy and then something bad happens later that makes you don't wanna be happy anymore? Yeah. That's what Nathan feels as of now. After eventually passing through his sister's window, he couldn't shrug off the smell. I mean, when he goes there it should smell feminine, right?

But hell, it was terrible. Nathan, being the cop he is, did an unexpected investigation in his sister's room. As much as I hate those scenes in horror movies, when he moved the blanket slightly downwards, his sister was there. Eyes shut. Lifeless. Sooner or later, their house was crowded with the RPD cars and ambulances. And of course to whom did it backfire?

Who else?

Veronica.

Panic filled the manor. The doctors were busy preparing something and soldiers in all black roamed the halls. Veronica read every single mind she could and that's when it struck her, Nathan's sister just died. No wonder he didn't call her last night or this morning. She tirelessly thought of an escape plan. But then she read something.

An attack on the S.T.A.R.S members. Veronica blinked several times before actually processing the infos. I have to warn him! Veronica grabbed her phone and ran down the stairs to the main hall. She almost lost her balance when she saw a tall blonde guy standing in the middle with Dorothy.

"Ah! If it isn't the infamous Albert Wesker!" Dr. Marcus appeared out of nowhere and shook hands with the younger male. When Dorothy's eyes met with Veronica's, it widened with guilt. The redhead immediately knew something was up. "You fucking psycho!"

Veronica charged and gave her a good punch to the face. The people around the hall cowered in fear, hiding back into the shadows. Dorothy stumbled because of the impact. Blood stained the white marble floor beneath them. "You murderer." Veronica snarled.

Dorothy sheepishly grinned as she wiped the blood off her nose with the back of her hand. No words came out of her mouth which made Veronica angrier than she's ever been. As much as she hates to hurt her bestfriend, some things just have to be done.
