"Everybody in the lobby! Get our or I'll lessen your salary for this week's pay!"

Anna clapped her hands in the air to grab every employees attention. They all scurried away from the sofas and tables and hid inside the offices as the lickers stepped in. Some heads poked in between the gaps and watched as the creatures entered a large vent leading underground.

"Where does this lead?" TImothee asked before he entered the elevator after the others.

"The fields near the ruins." Answered Anna.

Timothee gave her a regal nod. "Is that the training site?" He eyes Chris.

"Yes. I've already contacted the guys. They'll be there." Said Chris.

Anna tapped on Timothee's shoulder. "Only ten lickers?"

TImothee arched his brow. "Do you plan to massacre the Hound Wolf?"

--

As they walked the last hallway leading outside, Timothee stopped by a certain laboratory with a rather peculiar looking door. He scans the object up and down. His curiosity growing. Anna noticed this and came to his side right away with her tablet as Denise already left awhile ago.

"I can open it if you want-"

All they heard was the spring of the lock come off and the hinges screech as Timothee pushes it wide and welcomes himself inside the laboratory. This wasn't new to Anna but shocking. He could've just unlocked it while showing it not like a ghost who wants to scare people all the time.

"This is what I like about him! Free passes baby." Jake followed second.

"Ladies first." Said Chris as he leans against the wall near the door.

Anna took deep breaths before entering as she recalled what that room was for.

"Man, look at all these guns..." Jake exclaimed as his sapphire eyes wandered across the dozens of guns displayed in the room. "This is heaven, right here."

In the center is a large screen attached to the ceiling and a control panel under it. One of the employees are passed out on the table. Timothee's forehead creased. Why bother having a screen here when there are several in the control room? What are these guns for when the barracks are far from here? There's even a bunk bed on the side with a worn out all black mercenary outfit lying on top of it.

Anna bit her lower lip as hard as she could when Timothee stepped closer to the sleeping employee. His eyes remained on the screen, though. Then it lit up on its own but only showed static response.

"Shit. Shit. Wake up." Anna whispered. "Torrence wake up!"

Timothee took notice of the man and decided to do something about it. He picked up a Biology book that was as thick as he wanted it to be and slammed it against the table where the man's head was. Alarmed, the man fell from his swivel chair and rolled over his stomach. Timothee then walked past him and went to where Jake is.

"Fuck! Who did that? Jesus..."

Anna pulled the poor man's collar and yanked him up. She didn't say anything as she widens her eyes and pointed behind her. Torrence took this as a signal to look behind her and he did. He gulped hard when he spotted Timothee taking a gun from the rack and examining it.

"Chris look at this." Jake called out to the older guy. '

Timothee showed the rifle to him. "You should use that for your mission."

Anna pushed Torrence and faced the other way. Embarrassed, Torrence fixed the chair upright and took his things with him and ran away.

"What was his name?" Timothee asked.

"Torrence." Anna croaked.

"Torrence what?"

Anna sighed. "Torrence Johnson."

Timothee gave her a nod and went back to Chris.

"Tell him to fix his sleeping schedule. This is a facility not a cinema."

Anna's heart raced as she replied a low, "Yes sir."

"This is called Dragoon. It's an easy to handle fully automatic capable rifle with the shortest barrel possible. Take it." Jake explained.

The guys took one last swoop of the racks and left the room finally. This time, Anna entered the codes and waited until the door closed. She followed behind silently and kept her head low. She hoped Timothee didn't notice something inside that room. As they reach the end, the three guys hopped inside the elevator. Timothee, who came in last, turned to face Anna, and on a serious note he said,

"I do hope my sister is safe during those missions."

As the elevator doors came to a close. Leaving the poor Anna in her own misery.

--

"What have you been up to this week?" Jake asked. His eyes shifted from the gravel beneath his feet and the man walking in front of him.

"How about you?" Timothee snapped his finger and all the lickers on the field ran towards the ruins not too far from the base.

"I'll be in the tower if you need me." Chris advised before he jogs away from the two.

Jake chortled. "Fucking."

Timothee stopped in his tracks. His head turns to the side and he stares at the horizon where many trees scatter. It turned out to be the direction where his mansion is.

"I mean," Jake snorted. "what else is there to do?"

"Then I guess we're the same." Timothee finally answered before continuing walking.

Jake's jaw dropped. "Holy fucking finally!"

Jake ran to his side and laughed nonstop.

"Oh man, back then I thought you were gay! You never had any girlfriends but now..."

--

"Is this it?" James looked at the building up and down and scoffed. " I didn't know this place even existed."

"Get inside the building, James. You have an hour to finish what you came here for." Chris said through the telephone before hanging up.

James shoved his phone back inside his backpack and closed the passenger's seat door. He takes deep breaths as he walks towards the entrance.

"This building better not collapse on me now."

The man felt his pockets and sighed in defeat when he didn't feel any gun except for a pocket knife. James walked further more until he reached a wide room with four columns in the middle. The hairs on his body stood up when he heard shuffling and growling from behind the columns. Aside from that, he went to check behind the columns but there was nothing. He turns around and scratches the back of his head.

"Just what am I supposed to d-"

James cursed under his breath when a licker toppled him to the ground. He squirmed underneath its body to avoid getting wrapped up by its tongue.

"Fuck me."

"You hate lickers... Am I wrong?"

A voice said inside his head. James furrowed his eyebrows and looked around while trying to evade the licker's attacks.

"They like meat, James. You should give them a taste."
