Y/n

"Be careful! I don't want a snake eating your balls in the dark!" I yelled. "Just make sure you--"

BAM!

The car where Y/n was, was forcefully pushed by a trailer truck into the depths of the forest. Way further than where Carlos was standing. The vehicle was flipped upside down and was set ablaze all at once. Along with the truck and the cargo on its back. Carlos closed his zipper immediately and ran towards the direction of the crash.

"No. No. No. No. No." He uttered. Panting heavily.

The fire spreading around the crash made him think they're in the middle of nowhere. Carlos arrived at the crash site and saw no signs of Y/n. The truck's front was smashed so was the body of their car. The driver's seat was detached and the bags are all over the place. Carlos went around every corner of their car and saw no Y/n. So he moved to the driver's side on the truck and pulled out the suicidal driver. Carlos picked him up by the collar. He was wearing a dusty gray and blue construction suit.

"Where's your I.D?" He grunted.

Carlos rummaged through every pocket he could find but all was empty.

"Behind..." The driver said before he took his last breath.

"What?" Carlos looked back and the last thing he saw was the hilt of a rifle and everything turned black.

Y/n woke up to an eardrum braking, headache ensuing ring in her ear as she got a hold of her senses. Her right arm laid on a broken window sill with a glass shard impaled on her palm. While her other was caught between the headrest and the seat where Carlos sat awhile ago. She tried to feel her legs but only her toes can be moved.

"Carlos?" She called out. No one answered.

Y/n squinted her eyes at the direction where there's no fire and she could see the rows of trees from a distance. Hope washed over her face for a second. She was able to wiggle her arm out of the headrest and grab onto the edge of the car but the other was a problem. Blood seeped from her palm and the more she tried to move it it only gets worse.

"Can't this day get any worse?" She muttered.

Y/n's strength was deteriorating again and she felt this. With a last ounce of it, she conjured a medium fireball in her impaled hand, causing the shard to crack and she finally removed her hand from that position. Y/n sobbed as she watched the wound close on its own.

"I need to transform."

--

Carlos woke up to his world upside down. His arms on either sides of his head and his body was swaying side to side. The wind rocking him like a baby on a cradle. He had no idea how long he was in that position as his mind wandered towards the fire dying in the crash site. Carlos felt his heart race when he saw no signs of Y/n anywhere around the car. This alarmed him which switched his attention to the rope holding his legs together. Carlos grunted as he shifted his weight to his upper body and attempted to raise it so he can reach for his knife inside his pockets until he saw movement in his peripheral vision.

"Oh shit!"

A snap  of Y/n's weave sliced through Carlos's rope, sending him down from the tree. He rolled over a pile of dead leaves and stopped not too far from the crash site. Carlos didn't waste time to grab his knife and cut the rope until his legs were free.
