The door of Yena's door was pushed open, Jaehyun striding in. She was expecting him. She knew he'd take it up to her but Yena was drunk off power. She believed herself to be untouchable and irreplaceable.
Jaehyun no longer looked at her with love and respect and she hated that it had come to the point where she knew he hated her. She loved Jaehyun—in her own twisted way, she loved him a lot. Yena felt betrayed that after all she did for him, he turned his back against her.
"Was that the best you could do, my love?" she asked smoothly, Jaehyun glowering at her. "Are you here to come back to me now?"
"I'm not like you, Yena," Jaehyun said. "How long have you been sleeping with him?"
She smirked. It was one thing knowing that she was sleeping with a Teacher's Assistant. It was another realizing that this wasn't the first time. Jaehyun felt hurt settle but he quickly replaced it with anger and disgust.
"Since before," she sang.
"Before?" he demanded. "Even when you were dating me?"
"Staying number one comes with sacrifices, Jung Jaehyun."
Jaehyun felt nauseous. He wanted to puke. He closed his eyes, his hands balled into two fists. It was one thing after the other.
"We may have been together but you don't own my body, Jaehyun," she mused, her eyes narrowing as she flashed him a smile. "When will you learn?"
"You're disgusting, Yena," he snapped.
"Disgusting?" she echoed, standing up and walking towards him. "Jaehyun, if life was a battle, it's not those who work hard that win. It's those who work smart."
He found himself walking to the dome to blow off some steam.
He was then surrounded by the familiar bushes, the lanes that he worked hard to fight through. He had brought his sword, Jaehyun activating it with a single push of a button. No one was around, Jaehyun twirling his sword around in his hands.
He was still sore from the last episode of trying to save Yangyang but he'd do anything to get rid of the boiling rage inside of him. There was no one who would be able to calm him down, he thought to himself.
But then he turned around just in time to see Park Nabi standing there. She had a gun in her hand, the female raising an eyebrow.
God, she looked so beautiful. Her training suit hugging her body, her long hair pulled back into a ponytail. The layers of her face framing her face. Jaehyun felt his breath catch in his throat and Nabi winked.
She knew what he felt for her. She was confident in it.
"Hey, loverboy." She tilted her head to the side. "I see you're miserable."
Even the way she said it was charming. Jaehyun snorted.
"Mind I take that away?" she asked, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and placing her lips near his ear. "Right here?"
Jaehyun's ears turned red at her voice.
The things she did to him, he thought.
"Right here," he finally choked out before turning her and kissing her like his life depended on it.
Maybe it was good Yena broke his heart.
Because now, each and every piece of his was all for Park Nabi.
