If you think that relationships were something that was easy, it isn't for the main couple of this story. Two people who love each other did not mean they were always so compatible. Sometimes, it takes more than love to keep the spark going.
Sometimes, it takes more than love for two people to stay.
"You are not turning your back to me," Nabi found herself saying as Jaehyun's jaw locked tight.
All it took was Nabi to pay some extra attention to Dong Sicheng, teaching him her character on the training grounds because he thought that he'd want to be an archer player in the far future. Hands locked, hips against one another as she tried to fix his posture.
Jealousy was a disease.
And it was one that ate his soul, his heart gnawing in fury.
"Jaehyun, be mature."
"Right. Because you definitely had to be that close to him."
Nabi could feel it, her nostrils flaring up in anger. She did what she did because it was the most effective way to teach postures to those who wanted to learn new characters. If it was Bunny or Dana, Jaehyun wouldn't have been acting this way.
"I'm sorry I'm not mature, Nabi. I'm sorry I can't handle you with someone else. I can't even handle people looking at you—" Jaehyun paused, a hand brushing down his face just to feel the heat of his skin.
He knew he wasn't being the most rational. Nabi ripped away that part of his. Or maybe he was never rational to begin with.
Nabi was not taking any shit by her lover, her eyes falling down on the bag that he had so dramatically packed.
"Where are you going?"
"Vacation." Jaehyun bit down on his lower lip.
"Where?" Nabi sighed. "You are not running away. You are staying and we are talking about it. Besides, 'Vacation'? So suddenly?"
"I just made up my mind," Jaehyun snapped.
"Really? When? When you saw me mingling with another guy?" Nabi asked pointedly. "Are you going to go and fight with the coconuts and the trees instead of me?"
Jaehyun's lips twitched, Nabi's lips turning up into a small smile. Jaehyun blew air out of his mouth, his cheeks expanding before he tapped his foot against the ground.
"Put down the bag," Nabi demanded, Jaehyun raising an eyebrow at her voice. It was a fight where no one would step down.
"No."
"Put down the bag and talk to me instead of running away," Nabi stepped forward, her eyes challenging him. "Put down the bag, kiss me, and then we'll talk."
Jaehyun's eyes softened and Nabi saw his eyes fall on her lips, the male clenching his jaw.
"You know I don't like people touching you."
"You know they mean nothing."
"Still."
"So... we're talking about it before you kiss me? Okay." Nabi nodded, Jaehyun scoffing at how she was dealing with the situation.
He moved over to her, an arm going around her waist to pull her closer before pressing a chaste kiss on her lips.
"Properly."
Jaehyun let out a huff but who could ever fight against the woman in front of him? His lips parted hers, his arms tightening around her before he kissed her hard. Nabi yelped at the sudden change, not expecting how rash he was being.
A whine left her lips and it was like the tables had turned, Jaehyun's hands roaming down to her ass to tug her against him when she gasped. She groaned against his lips when she smacked his chest to push him away, but his lips were too tightly locked against hers for him to even budge.
He finally let her come up for some air, a satisfied smirk on his face.
"You are an immature, jealous freak," Nabi murmured, her head spinning and her lips bruised.
"But you love me."
"I do, but that does not mean I will go easy on you, Jung Jaehyun." Nabi pecked his lips. "I love you, just the way you are. I will support you with whatever you do, you've just got to stop pushing me away."
He sighed, going in for another kiss when Nabi pressed a finger against his lips, her eyes stern.
"No."
"Your words are sometimes like a bullet, Nabi. Take it easy on me."
"I don't always want it to hurt." Nabi smiled, smoothing a hand over his chin. "I only mean it with love."
Bullet with butterfly wings, Jaehyun thought. She was his bullet with butterfly wings.
"Don't push me away," she whispered once more. "To me, you're my one and only. You're not going to explode into different pieces because if you do, I'll pick those pieces up."
This story is not about a man saving a woman, it's about woman who loves herself and those around her to take the lead.
"I love you," Jaehyun told her, knowing that it was a fact that no one could change.
"I love you," Nabi repeated. "And even if you try to run from every single fight we have, every time we argue, I will bring you back. Three hundred Sixty Degrees. Right here."
"Full circle." Jaehyun smiled. "Right back to you."
