Enjoy!

"Can I take them off now?" you asked impatiently as you walked into the ED with your big brother, Will.

"Yes, you can take them off now," he answered.

You quickly took off your gloves and handed them to him and he put them in his pocket. As soon as the gloves were out of your hands, you quickly popped your thumb in your mouth. Jay and Will were trying to get you to stop sucking your thumb, but it didn't always work, especially when you were tired. And you were really tired now.

"Bring a friend with you today, Doctor Halstead?" Maggie asked.

"Somebody got a snow day and the roads are so bad that daycare's closed too," Will answered.

"Will telled me we can make a snowman at the park when he's done!" you exclaimed happily after taking your thumb out of your mouth.

"He did? Well, that sounds fun!"

"What else did I say, Y/N?" Will asked.

"I have to be good."

Maggie laughed. "Well, I can make sure she's a good girl while you have patients, Doctor Halstead."

"Thanks, Mags. I'm gonna get her settled and then I'll change into my scrubs and you can start giving me patients. Say bye to Maggie, Y/N."

"Bye-bye, Maggie!"

"Bye, sweetie," she said and gave you a little wave.

Will got you all settled in the doctors' lounge. You had your iPad and he got a movie set up for you. He figured one or two movies during his shift wouldn't hurt you. After all, it was a snow day.

He got you all set up with Moana and made sure your headphones were in and that you could hear it. Then, he draped your favorite big, fuzzy blanket over your lap and told you that he had to go to work, but that he or Maggie would be in to check on you a lot.

You said okay and then he left to get in his scrubs and start work while you enjoyed Moana on your iPad. Not a bad morning for a kindergartener despite having to go to work with your brother.

Will's watch beeped an hour and a half later, alerting him that your movie was probably finished and that he should go check on you and get you settled with a coloring book instead. He didn't want you watching movies all day.

He made his way into the doctor's lounge and he chuckled when he saw you bobbing your head to the music of the credits at the end of Moana. He still couldn't wrap his head around how you could watch that movie dozens of times and not get sick of it.

"Hey, kiddo," Will said as he walked up to you.

"Will!" you exclaimed and took out your headphones. "We go build a snowman now?"

"Not yet. I still have a lot of work to do."

"Oh. Can I watch Tangled?" you asked without skipping a beat.

"How about we color instead? You can make a pretty picture and I'll hang it up on my fridge at home. How does that sound?

"You promise you'll put it on the fridge?"

"I promise, kiddo. Now, how about we try going potty before I have to go back to work, okay?"

"Okay."
