No! That can't be true. He just can't accept defeat. He can't accept that the deal is off. He wants to make her come back and finish the job. Yes! Yes! That's it! It's all about the damn job.
Okay, but why did he bring Jared into it? And why did Jared agree to go along with it? He was the one who pushed Sebastian to tell the truth.
Lois is confused. Desire and fear wrestle with each other inside her. Desire that all of this is true and Sebastian really loves her and fear that all of this is another attempt to deceive and take advantage of her.

How happy and free she felt then. She screamed with joy and Sebastian laughed, with the spontaneous and beautiful laugh that Lois loved so much and that he gave her so generously.
