She turns off the camera, feeling exhausted. The tears have dried her up. And all that effort to record the video. Really, why did she do that? She could have just written him a letter or left without any explanation. Why did she subject herself to this test?
Whatever! She doesn't have time for stupid questions. She should finish what she started and get out of here before one of them comes back. She has all the time in the world to grieve later.
So, she wipes her tears and takes a deep breath.

She takes the disc out of the camera and puts it in the case after writing some necessary instructions on it. She takes the camera back to Jared's room and then opens the safe on the wall. She takes her jewellery with her, but leaves the necklace Sebastian gave her. It's platinum and features a kitten sitting on the moon.

He gave it to her two weeks ago, all of a sudden, when they were having dinner at a restaurant. When she asked him why, he shrugged and told her there was no particular reason. He just saw it in a shop window and because it reminded him of her, he just bought it.
He did this sort of thing a lot. He bought her flowers almost every day. He drove to the other side of town to buy her favourite chocolates. He cooked in the middle of the night when she had a craving. Not to mention breakfast in bed every morning. Why the hell was he doing all this?
The little angel on her right shoulder pops up and whispers in her ear...
" Maybe because he really loves you? Don't go, Lois. Stay here and find out. "
The little devil on her left shoulder immediately pops up and starts screaming...
" Don't listen to that nonsense, Lois. All of this was part of the job. You were just a job to him. "
Lois covers her ears to stop the voices, and bursts into tears again.
