They have been married for over ten years. It's the second marriage for both of them. George is the father of Alexander and Isabella and the man who adopted Jace when he lost his parents.
He is excited about Lois. When he first saw her, he burst into tears because she reminded him of his best friend who lost his life so unjustly. He hugged her as if she were his real daughter, and she felt for the first time what a fatherly hug meant.
After Mary's injury, he divorced Mariza, the mother of his children, and shortly thereafter he met and married Zoe. Zoe, too, was divorced. Her husband left her shortly after their marriage and she raised her children alone. They now have their own families and visit Jace and the others very often.
Zoe loves them all very much, but she has a soft spot for Jace and Isabella's twins. But they love her very much too. Also, she and Simon's mother are the only grandmothers they have ever met. She loves George very much, and that's why she didn't leave him alone with his ex-wife. Because yes, the visitor they are waiting for is none other than Mariza.
We don't know much about her. After her divorce and her fake suicide attempt, she disappeared from the scene.
